Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX can held in a 555x560x845 wooden crate and secured with interior padding to avoid damage. When testing, SCP-XXXX can be inserted into a 220V European socket. As is standard safety protocol with clothes dryers, no highly flammable material is to be placed inside the tumbler.
It is advised that personnel refrain from using SCP-XXXX for the drying of personal clothes, and all incidences of lost property are the liability of the user.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a front-loading 2017 model clothes dryer produced by an unknown manufacturer. Its dimensions are 550x560x840cm and a 135cm power plug.
The dryer was discovered in ██████████, Germany by a citizen who purchased SCP-XXXX second-hand online, so no prior history is known about the dryer.
SCP-XXXX is notable for the phenomena of single-sock disappearances periodically upon use. Dismantling the dryer has found no traces of where the socks have gone. Each dry cycle brings a possible chance of a sock disappearance, though there is no current percentage evaluated for the occurrence. Organic matter attached to a sock will also vanish (see Test G). Only one sock will disappear per cycle, and only if there is a matching sock retained within the tumbler. No mismatched socks have vanished (see Test B).
