Description: SCP-XXXX is a █ year old Spanish male named Joel ███████ approximately 1.6m in height black curly hair and brown eyes and was resided in Los Angeles, California. SCP-XXXX expresses pleasure in exercise and is very physically fit and muscular in looks creating attraction in most female personnel. SCP-XXXX possesses professional artistic skills and is extremely intelligent scoring a 136 on the IQ Exam. SCP-XXXX also possesses photographic memory and uses it to create masterpieces. For example, creating an animated replica of the piece The Starry Night by artist Van Gogh only looking at the original painting for 10 seconds.
SCP-XXXX Trapped in his Oil Painting seen visibly uncomfortable (only known photo of the painting)
SCP-XXXX was originally an artist in the Late Renaissance. (Revealed in Interview Log XXXX-A) A young orphaned lonely man SCP-XXXX was in hiding in his hometown of ██████ Spain after trying to get his art out there in the world but accused of witchcraft after revealing his anomalous artistic abilities to the public. SCP-XXXX used many different kinds of paint to try and paint a regular painting to no success. SCP-XXXX then discovered his abilities when using watercolors and created SCP-XXXX-3 and SCP-XXXX-4. He refers to them as "Friends" because SCP-XXXX suffers with feelings of loneliness and depression but SCP-XXXX-3 and 4 bring him happiness and companionship. Eventually SCP-XXXX got his hands on oil paints and use them to create a masterpiece. SCP-XXXX then discovered that oil paints allow him to manipulate items in the painting with his hand moving around pieces on the table in the painting. The painting was not animated and did not move on its own without the manipulation of SCP-XXXX. Upon putting both hands in the painting SCP-XXXX was then sucked into the painting creating a one way portal into the painting, only he can enter. Unable to move in the painting or escape SCP-XXXX was trapped for 310 years inside the painting although it only felt like 3 months to SCP-XXXX. The painting was found by citizens of his hometown outside of the SCP's home and hung in a museum for public view. No one seem to notice that SCP-XXXX had gone missing in his hometown and there was no search for him. SCP-XXXX was finally released from his painting on █/█/2010 when negligent movers dropped the painting in a puddle and threw it away allowing the SCP to escape unnoticed and return to his old home and retrieve his items. SCP-XXXX would then go on to learn of the current era and move to Los Angeles, California and then would go to live a normal life for 9 years until his discovery on █/█/2019. (See Discovery)
SCP-XXXX possesses the ability to create animated imagery by hand. These instances of SCP-XXXX-1 only interact with whatever else is in the canvas and are unable to view the real world and only interact with each other. Humanoids created by SCP-XXXX prove to have no sentience and only interact with items inside of it's painting ignoring all outside stimuli only getting a quick glimpse of the outside world when an item is being drawn onto the canvas, all humanoids turn to view whatever is being drawn and go to interact with it as soon as possible. When Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are erased the canvases of all SCP-XXXX-1 instances turn completely back to normal with no anomalous effects. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are completely safe and are hung in some Site-17 Personnel Offices.
An Instance of SCP-XXXX-2
If SCP-XXXX were to use watercolors on any canvases it will create instances of SCP-XXXX-2. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are able to be released from their 2 Dimensional canvases into the 3D world. Objects such as a Frisbee, a fork, and silverware have proven to work exactly like its realistic counterpart and only differ by its appearance, appearing as a 3D watercolor image. Food however, when eaten, is just paint and not real food. After 2 days, instances of SCP-XXXX-2 would turn back to paint.
Animals Drawn using watercolors by the SCP act as their real world counterparts only differing by appearance and physiology appearing as a 3D watercolored image and being completely made up of paint.
"Master Chief" by SCP-XXXX
Humanoids drawn using watercolors by the SCP have the ability to also exit paintings and interact with the SCP and personnel. These Humanoids appear very surreal due to the professionalism of SCP-XXXX. Humanoids drawn using watercolors by the SCP seem to have some sort of special bond with the SCP immediately hugging him when it is released from the canvas. Instances do as what SCP-XXXX commands but do not commit any violent acts telling the SCP politely "No thank you" when the SCP commands the instances to commit a violent act. Instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are shown to have sentience and are able to fully communicate with personnel and express what they feel at the moment (See Interview Log XXXX-B). If any instances of SCP-XXXX-2 are named and signed by the SCP these instances will have the ability to remember the SCP and be able to exit and enter their canvas on command. A watercolored painting of the protagonist from the Video Game Franchise Halo was created by SCP-XXXX and was named "Master Chief" and signed by the SCP with his full name, and the instance was able to be remember everything from its one month of existence.
SCP-XXXX-3 out of its canvas
SCP-XXXX-3 is an instance of SCP-XXXX-2, but was named and signed by the SCP. SCP-XXXX-3 is a Black and White Siberian Husky named "Nova". SCP-XXXX doesn't seem to differ in behavior from its real world counterpart and is very friendly to personnel. SCP-XXXX-3 only differs in appearance appearing as a full 3D image of a watercolored painting. Its painting consists of the canine it's self and a message to the right of it saying, "Thank you for my pets!" SCP-XXXX-3 seems to have a strong bond with SCP-XXXX, jumping onto him when being released from the painting. SCP-XXXX-3 was created in the Renaissance era along with SCP-XXXX-4 and is able to remember past events and people.
SCP-XXXX-4 out if it’s canvas
SCP-XXXX-4 is also an instance of SCP-XXXX-2 and is a all white Siberian Husky named "Casper" signed by SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-4's painting consist of the anomaly itself and dog paws all around it. Similar to SCP-XXXX-3, SCP-XXXX-4 has the ability to remember past events and people.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered on ███████ ███████ Beach Pier by a researcher on vacation. The SCP offered to paint a custom portrait for the researcher for $██ and upon completion of the painting, the researcher discovered the SCP's anomalous abilities and reported it to the Foundation.
Upon being detained by the Foundation the SCP fully complied with Foundation Personnel and was polite and just glad he was being housed with other people and not all by himself. SCP-XXXX was stripped of all personal items including SCP-XXXX-3 and 4
Interview Log XXXX-A:
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. Dgo
Foreword: First Interview with SCP-XXXX two days after being contained.
<Begin Log>
Dr. Dgo: Good Morning SCP-XXXX, how are you today?
SCP-XXXX: I'm great thank you for asking! And yourself?
Dr. Dgo: I'm doing just fine thank you. So today we are going to conduct an interview just to learn a bit more about you. Do you understand?
SCP-XXXX: Of course.
Dr. Dgo: Great Let's begin. When were you born?
SCP-XXXX: I'm sorry but it seems like I don't remember
Dr. Dgo: Okay that's fine. Do you remember where you originated from?
SCP-XXXX: Ah yes. I am from █████ Spain.
Dr. Dgo: Oh wow what a nice place! When did you move to the US?
SCP-XXXX: I moved here on █/█/2012 Doctor.
Dr. Dgo: Thank you for that. How long have you lived in █████?
SCP-XXXX: Well you see doctor, I have been alive since the 17th Century.
Dr. Dgo: What? How have you been alive for so long? Does it have to do with any of your anomalous artistic abilities?
SCP-XXXX: For about 310 years, I've been trapped in one of my creations doctor. You see I was alive during the renaissance era. I was a young artist trying to get my work out there in the world. The creations of artists like Leonardo da Vinci inspired me to become an artist. I've always loved the idea and beauty of art, it is when I learned of my gift I became a full-time artist. I created many masterpieces different from every other painting, my pieces had the ability to move inside of the painting. I was astonished and showed my village my work. Upon viewing my work, they immediately called me out for witchcraft and tried to kill me. I had to run away and hide or else I was going to be killed. I ran into a forest and found an abandoned cabin and lived there for the entirety of my existence in my era. This did not stop me from doing what I love and I began to create more pieces. I was a very lonely man, hiding in the woods in the cabin all alone.
SCP-XXXX pauses for a moment and takes a deep breath
SCP-XXXX: After creating more masterpieces, I got my hands on some watercolor paint from a wandering trader and discovered my second ability. After I painted a water colored image of a fruit basket, I was actually able to grab the basket inside of the image and pull it out. It worked exactly like a normal basket it only looked fake like a painting it was weird. I left it out for two days before it slowly turned back to paint. I then created a bird and upon completion it actually flew out of the painting. It was amazing I could not believe what I was seeing. It eventually flew back into it's painting and turned back to normal. This is when I created Casper and Nova. I created their canvases and named and signed them. I was a little worried that they would just return back to their canvases and turn back to normal but they didn't. It seems like when I named and signed their canvases they were able to exit and enter their canvases whenever I wanted to. They also remembered me.
SCP-XXXX smiles
SCP-XXXX: I love them, I really do. They are my only true friends, they make me feel safe and loved.
SCP-XXXX Tears up
Dr. Dgo: Wow. Thank you for telling me this. What about your parents? Where were they throughout all this?
SCP-XXXX wipes away tears
SCP-XXXX: I don't know my parents. I was an orphaned child, I lived in a orphanage until I was █.
SCP-XXXX chokes up
SCP-XXXX: I wish I knew them.
Dr. Dgo: Oh, I'm very sorry to hear about that. We are going to take good care of you here ok? I just need to ask one more question, how did you become trapped in one of your creations?
SCP-XXXX: Ah I forgot to tell you about that, sorry. One day I got my hands on some oil paint and decided to use it for one of my creations. Upon completion, it did not animate. I was puzzled by this and tried to put one hand on it, but instead of my hand resting on the painting, it actually went inside of the painting. I was able to manipulate items inside of the painting with my hand. I moved some of the things on the table in my painting. This is when I made the grave mistake of putting both hands inside of the painting and I was sucked into the painting and was unable to escape. I couldn't move or speak. I couldn't feel anything, it was like I was dead unable to feel my body. I was alone with my consciousness and only able to view the table and the little girl in my painting. Only three months went by until I was released from the painting. I found out that my painting was discovered outside my home and hung in a museum. I was hung there for approximately 300 years until it was finally moved to another location. While it was being loaded onto a box truck, one of the movers dropped the painting into a puddle and threw it out. This is when I was able to escape and run away back to my cabin. I stayed there for a couple of months and learned of the new era. It shocked me when I found out that 300 years had gone by to which it felt like a couple months to me.
Dr. Dgo: Very interesting thank you for telling me this. How were you able to adapt to your new environment?
SCP-XXXX: I wandered throughout the new world and explored my new environment. I eventually got used to my new environment quickly and got a job in retail and used my earnings to buy a phone and learn of the new places and events in the world. I finally gathered enough currency to move to Los Angeles a place I've been looking into. I gathered all my belongings from the cabin including my friends and moved to the new city. I then lived my life learning English and studying in a public university and finally decided to try another shot at art again and sold my creations at the pier and that's where we are now.
Dr. Dgo: Alright, thank you for being very complaint and descriptive throughout the interview you may leave now.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX seems to deal with a lot of anxiety and depression and was very emotional in telling his story. Dr. Dgo.
