Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5440 is to be locked away in a area about 20ft by 20ft. The area must resemble a pond or a lake about 5 feet deep with lots of vegetation and and fallen trees in the water. The water must be fresh water in order for the SCP to survive.
If the water is not fresh water the SCP will begin to become very hostile and most likely breech containment resulting in multiple casualties. The room must also follow the day and night cycle so the SCP wont be in a hostile state to anyone who enters the containment area.
Description:
SCP-5440 is a box turtle that has the ability to kill anyone in its view as it pleases. The SCP will only kill when it is in a hostile state. To trigger the SCP's hostile state is its containment chamber not clean, salt water instead of fresh water, if there is no where it can lay in the sun and rest, and if its hungry. But most of the SCP is in a calm state where it just lays around and acts like a normal box turtle.
If the turtle is threatened in any way the people or animals in its view will most likely be killed. The SCP kills its victims using telepathy to snap there neck. The SCP can also use this telepathy ability to breech containment if 5440 is in a hostile state.
Addendum:
SCP 5440 was found off the coast of Grand Isle Louisiana. Where reports saying a "killer turtle" was on the loose. When MTF Epsion-6 ("Village Idiots") arrived at the scene SCP-5540 immediately felt threatened and killed all of the MTF member in front of it while the rest of the team behind the SCP managed to get a bag over 5440 and captured the SCP and brought it to containment.
