Special Containment Procedures:
Due to the location and nature of SCP-XXXX, it cannot be relocated, and instead, there must be a “stun-lethal” class fence surrounding the exhibit where SCP-XXXX is located. The exhibit is currently being disguised as a military base.
The pond itself is to be kept within a cubic cell exactly 10 by 13 by 7 meters large. The cell should be made of high-carbon steel, to prevent any unauthorized personnel from breaching the containment cell. The door should have 2 locks, one key given to the containment specialist and the other to the head researcher. A line must be painted on the ground 4 meters away and completely around SCP-XXXX.
No personnel are allowed to come into contact with SCP-XXXX unless given explicit permission from personnel class 3 or higher. If any foundation personnel are under the effects of SCP-XXXX, unless undergoing testing, they must be immediately removed from the vicinity and given class B amnestic. The head researcher and containment specialist are to be given class B amnestic every week, to erase or replace any detailed memories of SCP-XXXX’s appearence. Any civilians who breach defenses must be given class C amnestic and should be told that they were caught trespassing.
Description: SCP-XXXX Is a 4 by 7 meter pond of water of unknown depth, located at the █████████ exhibit in █████████████, █████. 67% of the water has been overgrown by what appear to be water lilies. A skeletal human arm is seen inside the water, 5 centimeters beneath the surface. When an individual is within 4 meters of SCP-XXXX, they begin having visual and auditory hallucinations.
While hallucinating, subjects have reported seeing young children in the pond, in place of the skeletal arm. All tests on personnel under the effects of SCP-XXXX have yielded similar results. The individual will always attempt to rescue the child by reaching out or jumping into the pond for it, but they will disappear shortly after, and none have yet returned. Signs of the subjects bodies have also not yet been found, and further testing may be required. Attempts to measure the depth of the pond have yielded no results indicating a finite depth. All individuals who remain submerged 6 meters below the surface for an undefined period of time never return.
The small children seen by the individuals under the influence of SCP-XXXX’s effects are always related to them. Test subjects have often reported having dreams about their young relatives prior to testing, if they have been shown images or have physically seen SCP-XXXX. The dreams compel them to approach SCP-XXXX, and worsen overtime until the individual is given amnestic or are put under SCP-XXXX’s effects. The dreams are reported to be the young child affiliated with the subject in the middle of a meadow of flowers repeating the phrase “feed me”. Upon further inspection, test subjects report that the flower petals display the faces of other missing or deceased test subjects.
Tests when the child was present with their affiliate yielded very strange results. One specific test on a woman who was pregnant resulted in her forcibly jerking the fetus out from her uterus, and proceeding to throw herself and her fetus into the water.
Individuals not related to any young children who were put under the effects of SCP-XXXX did not hallucinate, but rather, showed an uncontrolable urge to procreate.

D-55831: It's freaking me out. Are you sure this is safe?
Dr. ███████: Approach the pond.
* D-55831 Slowly moves closer.
D-55831 stands completely still, staring at the hand in the pond. He then
sprints to the edge of the pond.
Dr. ███████: D-55831. What do you see?
D-55831: Oh, God! Oh god! That’s my son, you bastards! You took me and NOW
you take my SON? What kind of sick place is this?!
* D-55831 dives into the pond, and disappears under the water.
* Five minutes pass
* No signs of D-55831
* Ten minutes pass
* Noted that subjects begin hallucination at around 4 meters
* D-55831’s son is reported missing, end of log.
