Special Containment Procedures: All SCP-XXXX instances are to be contained inside of a artificial ecosystem, that simulates the typical habitat of a white tailed deer native to eastern Canada. SCP-XXXX instances must be equipped with tracking devices in order to maintain a accurate location, as their species is carnivorous, potentially attacking Foundation personnel to feed. Personnel are advised to have a group of no less than 8 people when entering SCP-XXXX's cell for routine
cleaning,maintenance,or feeding as SCP-XXXX instances typically will not attack subjects in its containment area if they feel as if they are outnumbered, however this is not always guaranteed. In the event of a containment breach, Foundation personnel are advised to fall back if outnumbered because they will attack those the species deems as an easy kill.
Description SCP-XXXX instances appear to have the physical characteristics of a white tailed deer, however the snout is much larger, averaging around 2.4 feet and pointing downwards. The height of SCP-XXXX instances average to around 6.6ft due to them being bipedal, and weighing in at average 230 lbs or 104.3 kg, The gender of the specimens are currently undetermined, as during analysis upon capture showed no visible reproductive organs, so means of reproduction is still unknown. At the time of Search only 4 instances were captured however after capture disappearances stopped, so it is believed that these are the only known members of their species.
SCP-XXXX was first brought to the attention of Foundation personnel after many individuals and groups hiking went missing over a period of 3 months in forested regions of Trenton, Nova Scotia. Foundation Personnel searched said forested regions and eventually found the remains of a group of human remains, later to be identified as one of the groups that have gone missing which encouraged Foundation Personnel to remain in the area where they eventually located the SCP-XXXX's instances, and sedated each of them systematically using tranquilizer darts, and were taken into foundation custody.
Incident XXXX-1
A scheduled cleaning on ██-██-████ took place however Foundation staff was shorthanded, and SCP-XXXX instances attacked personnel cleaning crew by attacking them by goring, or biting, eventually killing them and proceeded to feed upon them. Because of the shorthanded staff, there was nothing indicating anything was wrong as the emergency door control was not pulled, not triggering the alarm system. The bodies were only then discovered during the next routine cleaning schedule that occurred on ██-██-████. Personnel have been informed that it is forbidden to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber if staff are shorthanded.
