Description
Basic: Island that can disappear at random times of significance, commonly when people walk on it.

Less Basic: [REDACTED] Island is a standard coral island that can seemingly disappear and reappear in random spots across the Earth's oceans. The timing of these disappearances and reappearances appears to be random occur in times of significance.

Specific events, pick ones both past and present, make places that the SCP-XXXX appears relevant
ex.) Cold War = Arctic Ocean for entire duration
Never appears close to shore, always maintains at least a 250 km distance away from all coasts visible on a standard map of the world. 30km

How it is different from the SCP-4278 which is also a teleporting island:

1. Not based on murder
2. No inhabitants, humans can't touch this thing > have to figure out a distance at which humans can approach before teleporting away.
3. Moves based on events, no real time limit…
4. Mainly an annoying SCP due to its unpredictable nature, threat to show anomalies to normal world.
5. Teleports relevant to the situation, can be a "prophet" at times despite random nature.
6. Sometimes events are serious enough to make it stay in a place for a while, which is usually an indicator something is actually going on.
7. Something may be on island, evidence points to it but no conclusive data can be produced due to its nature.
