Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX is to be kept within a Standard Steel Containment Chamber, 5m x 5m x 8m located in Containment Sector-05 at Site-19. The temperature of the Chamber that SCP-4XXX is contained within must be below -30° Celsius at all times.
The Chamber must undergo fumigation process to remove SCP-4XXX-2 before undertaking any experiments. Any Personnel exposed to SCP-4XXX-2 are to be immediately terminated regardless of security level.
SCP-4XXX must be fed one (1) Class D personnel once every month to sustain it. All surveillance cameras are to record in infrared when SCP-4XXX-2 is expelled.
Description: SCP-4XXX is approximately 2.5 meters in height. Subject is mostly mechanical1 and possesses hardware fasteners such as slotted screws to affix segments of it together. SCP-4XXX has pointed metal spines on its vertebrae, long sharp claws, and a mechanical tail which is roughly two (2) meters in length.
When SCP-4XXX is exposed to temperatures below -30° Celsius, it can no longer secrete SCP-4XXX-2 and its movement slows down substantially, which allows it to be easily transported or analyzed. SCP-4XXX will not attempt to eat anything other than living humans. When SCP-4XXX is feeding, it prefers keeping its prey alive for as long as possible, by means of slowly consuming their arms and legs first. When SCP-4XXX ingests human flesh, it will then expel fumes from both sides of its mouth (referred to as SCP-4XXX-2).
Exposure to a large quantity of SCP-4XXX-2 causes irritation to the eyes and skin and severe damage to the lungs. After approximately twenty (20) minutes of exposure to SCP-4XXX-2, subjects will then die by asphyxiation. SCP-4XXX-2 is highly addictive if inhaled in the slightest, which causes subjects who have been exposed to SCP-4XXX-2 wanting to inhale more of the fumes (See Addendum 4XXX.1 for more information).
The only recovered image of SCP-4XXX captured by MTF Beta-7 during the initial investigation in the Aykhal sewers.
Discovery: The existence of SCP-4XXX was discovered in 19██ in the Settlement of Aykhal. After reports of toxic gas emitting from the sewers below, causing locals to either asphyxiate and die, or have an urge to enter the sewers, in which they would never return. The settlement was evacuated and given Class-A amnestics.
The Foundation then dispatched a group of ███ members of MTF Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") to investigate and collect samples of the gas (See SCP-4XXX Exploration Log #1/2 for more information).
Addendum 4XXX.1: Dr. ██████'s exposure to SCP-4XXX-2.
Note: The following is a video log taken by surveillance cameras located in Research Sector-05 at Site-19 of Dr. ██████ when they were testing with a small dose of SCP-4XXX-2.

<22:00:47> A surveillance camera located in Research Sector-05 in Site 19, shows Dr. ██████ with a flask containing a fine green powder, presumed to be a concentrated form of SCP-4XXX-2. Dr. ██████ then enters an empty research laboratory, and sets the flask onto one of the many desks.
<22:02:08> Dr. ██████ then unlocks a nearby drawer and withdraws a set of tools, test tubes and a gas mask, they then prepare the tools for testing.
<22:05:54> Dr. ██████ places their glasses on the desk, then wears the gas mask, they then take a sample of SCP-4XXX-2 and places it under a nearby microscope.
<22:06:04> Dr. ██████ sighs, then stands up and walks out to the hallway, presumably looks around for another nearby doctor for assistance. Dr. ██████ then walks back to the desk and takes a deep breath, they quickly remove the gas mask, put their glasses back on and look through the microscope.
<22:06:29> Dr. ██████ gazes at SCP-4XXX-2 through the microscope, they then add [DATA EXPUNGED] to SCP-4XXX-2, this which causes small amount of SCP-4XXX-2 to disperse into the air. After approximately two (2) minutes, Dr. ██████ promptly stands up and leaves the laboratory.
<22:12:12> A surveillance camera located in Containment Sector-05 at Site-19 captures Dr. ██████ accessing the containment chamber holding SCP-4XXX.
<22:13:35> An infrared surveillance camera located in the containment chamber holding SCP-4XXX shows it feeding on Dr. ██████. SCP-4XXX then breaches containment.

Note: Why in hell did Dr. ██████ not have an assistant during any time of this experiment! O5 Council must approve experiments involving SCP-4XXX and SCP-4XXX-2!
