Doctor Turner

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

SCP

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept under surveillance at all times by no fewer than two Security Officers. A taped border must be kept in a 15 ft. radius of SCP-XXXX at all times and no personnel shall cross this border unless conducting a field research operation. No Class-C or above personnel shall be allowed within 100 ft. of SCP-XXXX at any time. The containment cell of SCP-XXXX must be kept at a temperature between 21°C to 22°C at all times. SCP-XXXX shall never be left out of sight.

Description: SCP-XXXX takes the form of the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch. SCP-XXXX is indistinguishable from the original painting. The exact nature and origin of SCP-XXXX is unknown, although records of SCP-XXXX attacks date back to the 1500's. It is specualted that Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream" is based off of SCP-XXXX.

Although very dangerous, SCP-XXXX is not always lethal. It is calculated that 93% of SCP-XXXX victims are killed. Victims killed by SCP-XXX are killed in many vigorous ways. Survivors of SCP-XXXX attacks are injured either mentally or physically or both. Some survivors are left incapacitated or unresponsive in a coma like state.

If any personnel enters within 15 ft. of SCP-XXXX at any time, the subject will seem to disappear along with the painting. Anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes later, the subject and SCP-XXXX return back to the containment cell. The subject is usually deceased in some horrific manner. Subject's bodies are mutilated in many different ways including, but not limited to, completely skinned bodies, dismembered limbs, and different structures made from subject's body parts. SCP-XXXX is able to attack anywhere from a single subject to a large group of subjects all at one time. The limit of a single attack is yet unknown.

Survivors of SCP-XXXX attacks explain the attack as stated. The object seems to transport subjects into a black void-like area dubbed "The Void"1 with only the subject and the painting. Within a few seconds, the entity seen in the painting seems to exit from the painting and appear standing next to the painting frame. The entity will then attack the subject. Survivors describe the attack as the entity disappearing and re-appearing around the subject in very fast periods. The entity will forcefully break limbs and in some cases pull them off with brute force. The subject will then see the entity standing over the subject for a few seconds, until the subject and object transport back into the containment cell.

If SCP-XXXX is left out of sight, the object will seem to disappear from the cell. SCP-XXXX will then replace a current replica of "The Scream" painting in a seemingly random museum in any part of the world.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was initially discovered when a family of four was abducted by the object in the ████████████ Art Museum in ███████████, United States. Bystanders describe the family and the painting randomly disappearing. The bystanders waited around trying to figure out what exactly happened. Spectators then say, approximately 3 minutes later, subjects and the object all returned back to the museum. All family members were deceased and brutally mutilated. The scene was described as a family dinner scene. The heads of each family member were removed via brute force. Chairs were made from human bones and tendons. The legs of the table were also made from bones and tendons. SCP-XXXX was used as the tabletop. The heads of each family member was placed on their own respective chair that was made from their remains. Each of the subjects brains were also placed in front of them on the tabletop.

Eight Class-D personnel were deployed to the scene to clean up and transport SCP-XXXX to it's containment cell. Personnel used modified forklifts to stay outside the 15 ft. radius. SCP-XXXX is currently being held at Site-██ in ██████, United States.
