Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a modified airlock concrete chamber. Modifications include two floodlights positioned on the ceiling and floor. Placement of the floodlights in the cell is done to inhibit SCP-XXXX's attempts to hide within its containment.

The power supplying the floodlights is delivered from Site-06-3's main energy regulator. If at any given time the bulbs of the floodlights to SCP-XXXX's containment burn out, PTF unit Thimble-1 ("Night lights") are to be called on the scene immediately. Routine bi-monthly checks are to be conducted on the floodlights to ensure the LED bulbs do not burn out during critical periods in SCP-XXXX's mood(see 'request for modifications on SCP-XXXX-e security measures').

Due to the specter needing less attention than other anomalies, it is acceptable to have at least one on-site level-1 clearance staff member monitor SCP-XXXX. The entity is to only be observed via a two-way mirror unless testing is authorized.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a shadow-based entity. Researcher Valock best describes SCP-XXXX's visual nature by saying "SCP-XXXX is as if you took all the ink out of a large art exhibit and dumped it onto one canvas; except there is visual depth and thickness. However, nothing is physically there." This is mutually agreed upon by staff since visible light does not appear to be halted, but instead expelled from certain given areas; these points of interest are considered to be SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX constantly appears to be shifting in appearance. The farthest points of the entity's being have reached points from 0.5m to 1m. Certain staff ordered to watch SCP-XXXX have begun drawing comparisons to the Rorschach inkblot test, and SCP-XXXX's unpredictable appearance.

SCP-XXXX has been confirmed to be sentient but has also been determined, by psychological evaluations, that the entity suffers from dissociative identity disorder (DID). There has been an estimated total of four 10 different personalities, all showing different temperament (see SCP-XXXX's discernible personalities). Psychological evaluations have been conducted through SCP-XXXX's ability to communicate via auditory hallucination.

Similarities in brainwave activity have been noted between the heard hallucinations and hallucinations experienced during the beginning of REM sleep. The radius, at which SCP-XXXX's influence can be clearly understood, varies depending on the intensity of SCP-XXXX's voice during the delusion. According to those who have been exposed to SCP-XXXX's hallucinatory voice, they have all stated that the voice tends to shift at random interims of time. These gradual decreases and increases in intensity, of the apparent voice SCP-XXXX communicates with, have varied in description from the type of accent to a particular tone.

SCP-XXXX's discernible personalities

• Bethany was the first documented (mistakenly) as the true nature of SCP-XXXX. Named and described by SCP-XXXX to the Foundation, SCP-XXXX-a is extensively compliant with any action personnel may entail.

• SCP-XXXX-b is the designation given to SCP-XXXX once it exhibits characteristics such as; extended periods of silence, irregular motions (usually around the perimeter of its containment), nearly inaudible murmuring, non-compliance, and narcissistic comments.

• SCP-XXXX-c has been recognized to soon follow after SCP-XXXX-b has passed. Once SCP-XXXX has undergone a brief pause in actions, typically retaining to SCP-XXXX-b's actions, SCP-XXXX will express remorse. Compliance is usually exhibited along with repeated apologies.

• Isaac is the name SCP-XXXX gives to its "personal favorite" personality it regularly displays. SCP-XXXX in an instance of SCP-XXXX-d will show an enthralled reaction to anything presented to SCP-XXXX in its containment regardless if it has been previously exposed to it or not(similar to that as a child within the preoperational stage of development).

• Anything beyond the types of normal conduct SCP-XXXX shows is to be classified as SCP-XXXX-e. All instances of SCP-XXXX-e are to be determined as hazardous until more studying on the new behavior(s) is concluded.

'request for modifications to SCP-XXXX-e's security measures':

"One particular abnormal action SCP-XXXX-e exhibits is attempting to use its dark appearance to hide in the corners of its containment. Due to poor lighting in these areas, it is impossible to tell if SCP-XXXX is even there. Modifications on the containment chamber requested." — Dr. Castle

Addendum XXXX-01: Due to the capricious nature of SCP-XXXX, it has been decided to maintain strict policies regarding when to enter SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. Testing is only permitted if a psychologist at Site-06-3 has concluded SCP-XXXX is in a state of docility.

Some of the entity's faces wish to be "locked up for the greater good", while others will stop at nothing to escape. It should be certain that SCP-XXXX does not have a chance to breach containment at the risk of its mercurial complexion. With this said, I would like to suggest a psychologist be present to determine if SCP-XXXX's more desirable personalities are witnessed before testing. Addendum XXXX-02: Under 24 hour testing periods of SCP-XXXX's reaction to different stimuli, it was noted that there was a correlation between the appearance of SCP-XXXX and the personality it acted upon. The more agitated SCP-XXXX´s reaction to stimuli was, the more frequent its visual characteristics manipulated. Similar examinations to see if different voices heard in SCP-XXXX's voice were influenced by personality have been concluded to be false.
