Special Containment Procedures: Foundation Agents are to monitor the oldest and most frequented train stations in the New England area. If a train matching SCP-XXXX's description is found and analyzed. If the train is in fact SCP-XXXX, then temporary containment procedures are to be enacted until SCP-XXXX disembarks.
No person, Foundation personal or otherwise, is allowed to board SCP-XXXX without written permission from a level 4 personal.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 19th century passenger train. The train is well constructed and falls within building practices and manufacturing processes used during the time. The train is equipped with 7 passenger cars, a steam engine, coal tender, and caboose.
With exception of the steam engine and coal car, the train is non-anomalous by all appearances.
SCP-XXXX-A, the steam engine, and SCP-XXXX-B, the coal tender, cannot be damaged or dissembled in anyway and cannot be decoupled from one another. All other parts of the passenger cars and caboose can be removed, and have been, but removed parts, including entire cars, simply vanish when SCP-XXXX disembarks and reappear, as if they hadn't been removed, when SCP-XXXX re-manifests.
On average, the object manifests in train stations in the New England area of the USA. The manifestation lasts for 15 minutes, the beginning of which starts when the object arrives in the station. This includes subway stations, despite the fact that it cannot usually fit through subway tunnels. The object is more likely to manifest at stations that have been around since the 19th century or in stations that are frequently trafficked both by pedestrians and non-anomalous trains. Manifestations always occur between the arrival and departure of other non-anomalous trains.

Exploration Log XXXX.1: One D-Class, D-9314 was told to board the train and follow in the footsteps of PoI-XXXX-1. This was done in hopes of having a second witness to SCP-XXXX and establishing a way to explore SCP-XXXX.
D-1385 was equipped with a standard communication head set and body camera.

The camera is mounted on D-9314's forehead for ease of focusing. Camera is looking down at D-1385's pelvis. Agent Whitaker is seen configuring the controls for the communications head set and body camera.
Agent Whitaker finishes and audio becomes available. D-9314 looks up at Agent Whitaker, who is now talking with Dr. Thaddeus over his own radio.
Agent Whitaker: Is the audio working now, Dr. Thaddeus?
Dr. Thaddeus can be heard over the communications system, responding to Agent Whitaker.
Dr. Thaddeus: Yes, thank you, ████. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Agent Whitaker: No problem, happy to help.
//The camera pans to follow Agent Whitaker as he returns to establishing a containment area for SCP-XXXX. Dr. Thaddeus starts talking to D-9314. His voice is now much clearer.
Dr. Thaddeus: Alright, D-9314. I'm Dr. Thaddeus, though you can just call me Doctor or Doc. I'm going to be with you throughout the process. Now, you have a train to catch. Please board SCP-XXXX. Specifically, board the car in front of the caboose.
D-9314 is seen hesitating.
D-9314: It's only a train, Doc. I mean, I read the guy's interview log and the thing seems harmless enough, right? Why do I need to do anything?
Dr. Thaddeus: We simply want a clearer picture of what we're dealing with. Now please, board the train. Second car from the end.
While D-9314 is still hesitant, but they board the train without question. The door is closed behind him by an Agent.
The interior of SCP-XXXX is empty as expected.D-9314: I really don't like this. It's got a very creepy vibe. He exhales audibly. Alright Doc, I have to go out the back door now, right? Towards the caboose?
Dr. Thaddeus: No. You have to do this as precisely as possible. That means waiting in place for SCP-XXXX to leave the station and to remain standing. Once it has left and SCP-XXXX-1 has started harassing you, you may then exit the car.
D-9314: Okay.
D-9314 waits in place, but is fidgeting noticeably.
Approximately 45 minutes later the train starts up. Agents outside report the chimeny started producing smoke, though it dissipated without filling up the space, despite the location being in an underground subway station.
