SCP-XXXX at site-45 next to the SCPS █████

Item #SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain in a designated █████ x █████ kilometer zone off the coast of western Australia for approximately five months at a time. The zone is to be monitored by at least two foundation naval vessels and one foundation submarine and sonar contact with SCP-XXXX should be maintained at all times. At the end of each five month period, SCP-XXXX is to return to Site-45 for one week, and is to be re-evaluated and briefed on its next containment area. During this period, SCP-XXXX is to be physically evaluated, and any damages to its hull or location transponders are to be repaired. Any and all experiments regarding SCP-XXXX should be conducted in this period, unless authorized by class four personal or higher. In the event that SCP-XXXX leaves its designated zone, or its location transponders fail, all unassigned foundation vessels in the pacific ocean are to search for SCP-XXXX and direct it back to its designated zone. If SCP-XXXX fails to obey any commands made by foundation vessels, SCP-XXXX is to be towed and placed in dry dock until further notice.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient submarine that is structurally identical to the USS Albacore, other than interior modification made during its construction. SCP-XXXX was created by the United States Navy with the intention to develop a drone sub capable of handling nuclear waste, designated Adam (SX-45). During initial testing with SCP-XXXX, the navy lost control of the sub while disposing depleted uranium ██ kilometers of the cost of Hawaii. The navy considered the sub to be lost and the project was scrapped. In February of 2017, the Japanese submarine S131; designated Jinryu, reported that a unidentifiable submarine was following them, and was trying to establish contact via the signal lamp mounted on its periscope. The report was passed on to foundation personal by the Japanese government, at the request the foundation investigated the “ghost submarine”. The foundation started to make contact with SCP-XXXX more often, SCP-XXXX seemed to more trust for foundation with each encounter and was eventually asked to come to site-14. SCP-XXXX was suspicious of the facility at first, and was alarmed when experimentation and hull upgrades began. But after numerous upgrades to its internal software, complex conversation with SCP-XXXX became possible, allowing for SCP-XXXX to better understand its situation.
