Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be contained in a 5mx5mx5m containment unit that is to be constructed of iron in order to prevent incidental damage to the containment unit. The material used is to prevent incidental damage to the containment unit, see addendum-x. No ventilation systems should be present in the containment unit, and if personnel are not actively entering or leaving the containment unit the door should remain sealed at all times. Thermal imaging devices and Geiger counters are to be built into the walls of the containment unit. Scrap material that would otherwise be thrown away is to periodically, usually once a week, be given to SCP-xxxx. The total amount of material given to SCP-xxxx should be approximate 181kg and can be supplied all at once or over the course of several days. SCP-xxxx has no need for food, water, or air and instead uses supplied materials as sustenance.
Description: SCP-xxxx is comprised of two subjects. SCP-xxxx-1 appears to be a Caucasian male of Eastern-European descent standing approximately 1.72m. While subject generally appears unremarkable closer inspection reveals a lack of symmetry, the right eye is 2mm higher than the left, the left ear is 1cm higher than the right, etc. Experiments involving MRI and X-ray imaging has revealed that the internal structure of SCP-xxxx-1 is completely hollow. Any damage to SCP-xxxx-1 heals nearly instantaneously. Large enough cuts allow an observer to see that SCP-xxxx-1 is in fact hollow. Appendages that are removed from subject either regrow in a matter of seconds or can be reattached by bringing them into contact with the area of removal. Regrown appendages always appear to be altered by a maximum of 0.05% in terms of its dimensions when compared to the original appendage. SCP-xxxx-1 is not sapient and acts as a sort of vessel for SCP-xxxx-2, when not interacting with facility staff SCP-xxxx-1 becomes inert and deflates similar to a balloon. SCP-xxxx-2 is sapient and is composed of what appears to be an amorphous, colorless, odorless gas of unknown composition. When not inhabiting SCP-xxxx-1, SCP-xxxx-2 has no physical form and thus cannot be seen or heard without the use of specialized equipment, except for when it is speaking. A 1.5-meter area around SCP-xxxx-2 is slightly warmer than the ambient temperature, usually less than 1-degree centigrade. This effect is caused by a constant but small amount of gamma radiation, equivalent to 2370 millirems per year. This does, however, necessitate that staff working directly with SCP-xxxx be routinely switched out in accordance with health and safety regulations. SCP-xxxx is telekinetic and is capable of lifting and manipulating objects with no discernable limit. This ability also has no apparent testable maximum distance, see experiment log SCP-xxxx-n.
