Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5287 Is to be contained within a 25 x 25 x 15 foot airtight glass cell filled with 50° water, mixed with mucus and sand. SCP-5287 is too be monitored at all times by at least 2 level 2 or higher personal, and is only to be fed 17 pounds of calcium vitamins and mud a day. The water within SCP-5287's cell is to be drained and refilled weekly. Upon preparing this procedure SCP-5287 is too be tranquilised, and relocated to an identical cell for the entire cleaning process. Description: SCP-5287 is a sickly tan, amphibian like sea creature approximately 3 feet wide and 7 feet long, and is dosed in a a toxic mucus that SCP-5287 seems to produce. The mucus is usually highly corrosive, however the acidity of the mucus is seemingly random further test on the mucus are currently being considered. SCP-5287 weighs approximately 217 pounds and is Docile. SCP-5287's stomach is about 65% its body mass. And is also where it stores its main supply of materials for SCP-5287-1. It is currently unknown whether or not SCP-5287 is a hive mind or not.

SCP-5287 has a recorded bite force of 14,000 PSI and has the capabilities of biting threw human bone with ease. Bone marrow and mud is the main diet of SCP-5287 however calcium vitamins mixed with mud is also a viable substitute. Upon eating more than the recommended 17 pounds a day, the creature will become bloated, and begin bleeding blood and or mucus from its exterior pours. After Approximately 45 minutes in this state, Stomach acid within SCP-5287 will begin to thicken into miscellaneous bones. These bones have been thoroughly documented and researched and the bones have the ability to resemble bones from a multitude of species including: Bears, Crocodiles, Wolves, and other common animals located in the North America Region. After another 45 minutes, SCP-5287 will begin to puke bones created in its stomach. If these bones come into contact with a foreign source of water that SCP-5287's body is unfamiliar with, the bones will begin to fuse together creating SCP-5287-1.

Instances of SCP-5287-1 are NOT to be researched under any circumstances and are to be neutralised immediately. (See log not written yet.) SCP-5287-1 is an extremely hostile creature made up of bones and stomach acid. Upon the creation of SCP-5287-1 it will begin to take shape into a skeleton usually a hybrid of several different species of animals most of which can be found in the North American Region. SCP-5287-1 will take it upon itself to attack any and all living creatures it deems a threat to itself and SCP-5287. After a long period of time SCP-5287-1 will attempt to find any type of water and or blood and attempt to deliver the water and or blood to SCP-5287. Usually resulting in creation of more SCP-5287-1. It is currently unknown whether or not SCP-5287-1 is an active hive mind or is in any way able to communicate to SCP-5287. However it is theorised that the death of SCP-5287 may result in the death of SCP-5287-1(s). However this has not been tested.
