Item #: SCP-5449

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5449 is to be kept in a storage unit at Site-15 when not being submitted to testing. When SCP-5449 is undergoing testing, no less than 2 personnel with a security clearance of 2 or above are to be watching at all times. SCP-5449 is to be kept in a secure containment chamber on top of a table in Site-15 with a D-class personnel inside the chamber positioned next to SCP-5449 at all times and 1 researcher with a security clearance of 2 or higher supervising the D-class through the observation room. If SCP-5449 turns on, the supervisor is to request that the D-class immediately switch SCP-5449 back off. After turning SCP-5449 back off, the D-class is to, then, be taken out of the chamber and submitted to a psychological evaluation.

If, in such an event, the D-class personnel refuses to comply and does not power off SCP-5449 within the first 10 seconds of SCP-5449 turning on, the supervisor is to alert nearby guards and the D-class is to be taken out of the containment chamber and immediately terminated. A new D-class is to be sent in the containment chamber shortly thereafter and is to turn off SCP-5449 as soon as they enter the containment chamber.

Description: SCP-5449 is a standard 1985 Toshiba T1100, with a 30 x 6 x 30 cm screen. It was first discovered in a computer store in Sydney, Australia by the name of ███████████.

When SCP-5449 is switched on, the screen will display a dark-blue background, and 2 fields will appear. One of them displays "input", while the other, stationed below the "input" field, displays "output". SCP-5449 appears to produce code that outputs anything prompted inside the "input" field, with the programming language varying between a select few seemingly at random, and writes it in the "output" field. All attempts to recover the program's code have failed.

At seemingly random time intervals, SCP-5449 will turn on, displaying a red background on its screen and begin making a high pitched sound, designated SCP-5449-A, that gets exponentially louder each second, eventually surpassing sound-proof walls and headsets after 5 minutes. How it is capable of performing this is unknown at this time (██-██-████). Although times may vary slightly, any persons exposed to SCP-5449-A for over 5 seconds, designated SCP-5449-A1, will exhibit anti-social behaviour, and after 10 seconds of exposure, SCP-5449-A1 will exhibit extremely violent behaviour and are subject to immediate termination.
