Item #: SCP-6000

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:The subject should be regularly be sedated by [REDACTED] gas, only to be allowed consciousness when it is feeding time. Failure to sedate Subject may result in catatonia. Subject has a peanut allergy and this should be taken into consideration when planning meals. Subject requires little containment other than a cell with a simple lock and key. Care should be taken with subject’s meals, as it has a peanut allergy.

Description: Subject is a 54 year old male, of normal build and height. He was the only survivor of the Lake [REDACTED] gas cloud incident. Subject was taken into custody for questioning about the incident. During questioning, the Head Researcher fell into what is believed to be a state of Catatonia(See addendum). Subject cackled as it happened, though it later states that was merely a “nervous laugh”. After this incident, Subject was established an SCP and studied. No researcher has been able to replicate this incident, even after extreme duress to the subject. Subject is to only be held for a year for study. Previous records detailing SCP-6000 were destroyed due to faculty error, SCP-6000 will be held indefinitely at Dr. Yu’s request. Please see Addendum 2 before requesting a meeting with Dr. Yu.

ADDENDUM: The following is a transcript of the conversation between SCP-6000 and Head Researcher [REDACTED]

Head Researcher: “We’re very sorry for your loss [SCP-6000], we’re only taking you in for verification of what you saw.”

Subject: “Saw? I didn’t ‘see’ anything. I didn’t think anything was wrong. I woke up in bed because I heard my family gasping and screaming. I couldn’t understand what was wrong.”

Head Researcher: “That’s what we wanted to ask about. We wanted to know how you survived. Everyone else died, but-” [the Head Researcher falls out of his chair, and is silent. Several research assistants rush into the room to help, SCP-6000 laughs.]

ADDENDUM 2: Dr. Yu would like it to be known that despite some rumors, he is not holding SCP-6000 maliciously. “Yes, I was very close friends with Dr. [REDACTED], but I will not let this get in the way of my research. SCP-6000 is clearly anomalous, he’s hiding it. I know it.” - Dr. Yu
