Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept on a titanium alloy pedestal lined with 3 meter thick heat resistant material and must be connected to two (2) redundant heavy-duty cooling systems. 3 Armed Security Guards are to be stationed outside SCP-XXXX's containtment room and are to deny access into SCP-XXXX's container, unless Level 3 Personnel say otherwise and only during experiments. Maintainance of SCP-XXXX's container must be done daily and only mechanically. During transportation, SCP-XXXX must be connected to atleast three (3) redundant cooling systems.

In case of cooling failure, an emergency hatch beneath the pedestal is to be opened immediately to allow SCP-XXXX to drop into a 1000 gallon tank of Water. Afterwards, the Chief Researcher of the SCP must be contacted for additional instructions.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a reactor with a 20cm radius with a hole in the center that's has a radius of approx. 6cm. The external "shell" of SCP-XXXX is made of what appears to be a combination of SCP-███ and aluminum bicarbonate. The composition central "core" cannot be determined due to it's property of releasing unfathomably high amounts of heat. The heat of the core is unidentifiable due to scientific instruments having technical failures when placed in close proximity to the object but luminousity analysis suggests that the heat generated reaches temperatures of approx. 1,000°C.

How the external shell manages to withstand the temperatures or how the core even manages to generate it is still under investigation. How it sustains it is a bigger mystery because ever since it's recovery by the foundation on 1910, it has been able to keep a steady temperature with no sign of degeneration. Due to it's extreme heat generation, it has been speculated that that heat could be used by the foundation to power high-value facilities for what could be limitless power.

SCP-XXXX came to the attention of the foundation when a microsatellite under foundation control sent IFR photos of what appears to be a 100m wide heat anomaly located in ██████ ██, Philippines. Nearby agent went to investigate and when Agent R██████ found the source of the heat, he requested back-up and a recovery team was dispatched. The populace around the area was amnesticized and an appropriate cover story put into place.

Addendum: This is an object that has the potential to give the foundation infinite power if a way to regulate it's power is found. Therefore, the council has agreed to allow research into this matter. -O5-█.
