Item #: SCP-XXXX "Ol' Smokey's Boiled sweets"
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside a small protective and is to be stored in a warehouse unless being used for testing where SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a locked briefcase, however SCP-XXXX requires very little security protection or special observations as it shows no obvious signs of anomalous properties unless ingested.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small glass jar approximately 8 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter and has a printed label of a small cartooned train driver laying over dead in front of a gravestone with the sweets being labelled "Ol' smokey"s boiled sweets; Taste of death" dubbed SCP-XXXX-A. The jar is shown to be incredibly resistant to damage as discovered when a research assistant dropped the jar when removing it from a case where it landed on solid concrete floor only to bounce lightly and roll around on the floor. Inside the jar are 43 boiled sweets each black in colour with a grey stripe in the middle, after initial observations it can be observed that the jar never seemingly empties and always contains 43 sweets even if a sweet is taken out and placed back in dubbed SCP-XXXX-B. These sweets upon ingestion cause the victim to become deluded for a brief period of time lasting from 10 minutes to an hour, after this period the victim begins to have mild headaches and at later times sways or limps when walking, later victims begin to complain of an array of symptoms ranging from headaches and pains, rashes and high fevers, complaints of joint and muscle pains to great pains in the chest and struggling to breath. Due to the label a hunch was placed by the researcher in charge and all consumers where placed on a watch list. One test subject who gained heavy rashes and high fevers died in a fire that had started during a D-class riot. Another similar event happened when a D-class who had complained about breathing problems and extreme headaches was involved in the [REDACTED]. These correlations confirmed the labelling on the jar and showed that somehow the symptoms gained during consumption relate to the consumers death in some way
