Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3XXX is to be placed on a wooden stand, oriented so that its crack is facing downward and out of sight.

Description: SCP-3XXX is a sphere of indeterminate material that resembles glazed ceramic. Nondestructive testing is inconclusive; Magnetic particle and ultrasonic test results do not match ceramic or any other material standard. Ultrasonic testing revealed that the sphere is hollow. Destructive test methods are advised against due to the uncertain possibility of exacerbating SCP-3XXX's anomalous properties.

The circumference of the object is approximately 75 centimeters, and has a mass of 0.75 kilograms. The surface is entirely white, showing no signs of discoloration. With the exception of a single 7.3 centimeter crack, the sphere has no identifying marks.

SPC-3XXX shows no anomalous properties until an individual observes the crack in its surface. Upon doing so, the individual will become visually distressed that the sphere has sustained damage,
