The philosophical catfish

Containment: SCP * is contained in a cubic polycarbonate container 18.0 inches in width, breath and diameter. The container housing SCP * is to be filled with not more than 5 liters of distilled water which is expected to be filtered periodically by a filter attached to the tank. The water in the tank must be swapped every 5 days. The polycarbonate tank also contains a yellow ceramic pineapple modeled after a house from the television series: Spongebob. The polycarbonate container itself, housing SCP *** must be kept in an additional steel tank with an illuminated interior.

Description: SCP * is an adult common spotted plecostamus catfish (Hypostomus plecostomus) approximately 3.15 inches in length and is identified to be a male. Despite being slightly smaller in size than the average adult male plecostamus catfish, SCP * bears no other significant traits unique to that of a common spotted plecostamus catfish. The moniker, ‘the philosophical catfish’ stems from SCP *’s ability to cause any individual or entity, upon viewing SCP * for long periods of time to start thinking critically about various subjects which are noted to depend on the individual and are not fixated on a common topic. The degree of contemplation by a viewer is only limited by cognitive aptitude which is why personnel with above average intelligence are prohibited from approaching SCP *** as they can pose a serious threat to the foundation as well as humanity as a whole.
