Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a containment cell of 10m x 10m x 3m dimensions with 1 meter thick steel walls, instated as a part of the revised containment procedures created after Event XXXX-4 (see Addendum A-3). Two security cameras monitor the subject at all times. Two guards are posted outside the containment entrance, and at least one researcher with a minimum of Level 2 clearance must be present in the observation bay (located directly adjacent to the containment area) at all times. Any abnormal behavior, especially any contact with the containment walls must be reported as soon as possible to the Senior Researcher responsible for SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX must be fed at least 1.8kg of biological matter every 24 hours. Exact documentation of feeding times and everything eaten by SCP-XXXX must be reported to the Senior Researcher after each feeding. If the anomaly is involved in an experiment which involves more physical activity than usual or on reasonable request by the Senior Researcher, snacks from the approved list may be provided.
Any being consisting of biological matter should remain at least 2 meters away from SCP-XXXX while the entity is unrestrained. Before any personnel enter the containment area, SCP-XXXX must be sedated and restrained using custom-made cuffs and weights to restrict movement. At least two guards must accompany any personnel in the containment area unless directly stated otherwise by the Senior Researcher.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a male humanoid of average height and weight for its presumed age of █. SCP-XXXX has the appearance of a normal human child and usually acts as such, except it rarely vocalizes. The most similar noises to speech the entity has exhibited are shrill screams when angry or hungry, and laughter when pleased or fed. Otherwise, SCP-XXXX communicates solely through body language and facial expressions.
Any biological matter which comes into contact with SCP-XXXX is almost instantly absorbed. The point of absorption can be any exposed skin on the specimen. 8 known Foundation personnel, as well as the corpses of [REDACTED], have been partially or completely "eaten" through this process. Once this matter is ingested, it immediately vanishes within SCP-XXXX. All efforts to track this matter inside the subject have been unsuccessful. The subject displays no changes in size or weight after "eating." However, the matter eaten is believed to be converted into energy through a currently undetermined process.
Non-biological material can also be absorbed, though this appears to cause the subject great pain, and it always expels this matter after a few seconds unless forced to do otherwise. Objects expelled usually retain their original form, albeit covered with a thin film made of a substance similar to stomach acid. X-rays and other tests have shown this acidic substance makes up approximately 70% of its body weight and overall composition. This substance is only active inside of the anomaly and has no effect on biological or non-biological matter while outside its body. The longest instance of a non-biological substance inside SCP-XXXX was induced by researchers and lasted █ minutes, after which SCP-XXXX [REDACTED]. Efforts to find Dr. ██████ inside SCP-XXXX have been unsuccessful.
There are no known limits on how much biological or non-biological matter SCP-XXXX can "eat" in one sitting, though there are recognized minimums on what is needed to avoid negative responses.
Addendum A-1:
Event XXXX-1: Discovery and Retrieval
A member of the local law enforcement of █████ ███████, Alberta, Canada reported on ██/██/20██ to have seen the heads of two house cats and the half eaten corpse of a moose on the side of a road. While returning to the police station, the officer saw a human-like shape in the rear view mirror, which fled into the forest.
The next day, an investigation done by the local police went awry when SCP-XXXX, seen by an officer the day before, attacked and "ate" two of the three officers at the site. The survivor returned to the police station and informed the other officers of what happened, which was then reported to the Foundation by a field agent.
█ days after the first sighting, ten MTF Epsilon-6 agents were dispatched to the site of the anomalous attack. The agents encountered the anomaly within minutes and surrounded the entity from a safe distance of 2 meters. A condensed ball of raw meat was used to lure SCP-XXXX into an armored vehicle intended to contain it. The lure worked successfully, but before the anomaly could be secured, it realized the situation and ran out of the vehicle. It quickly attacked two agents, absorbing portions of their arms and protective gear, spitting out the latter before making an attempt to flee. Before it escaped, the agents sedated SCP-XXXX with 3 tranquilizer shots. It was then returned to the armored vehicle and transported to a temporary containment site. During its transportation, SCP-XXXX was re-sedated every hour to maintain unconsciousness.
Upon their arrival, the injured agents received proper treatment of their injuries and the anomaly was put in the hands of researchers. After a rudimentary analysis of SCP-XXXX and its capabilities, it was transported to Containment Site-██. At the site, it was put under supervision of Senior Researcher Dr. ███.
Addendum B-2:
Interview XXXX-1
Interviewed: SCP-XXXX
Interviewer: Dr. ███████
Foreword: This is the first official attempt at communication with SCP-XXXX, a potentially sentient humanoid entity.
Dr. ███████: Do you know where you are, SCP-XXXX?
[SCP-XXXX looks around, presumably searching for the source of the voice coming through the intercom.]
Dr. ███████: Do you understand what I'm saying?
[SCP-XXXX nods, still looking for the source of the voice.]
Dr. ███████: Do you know where you are? Or why you're here?
[SCP-XXXX shrugs and continues looking for where the voice is coming from.]
Dr. ███████: (Speaking to Senior Researcher Dr.███) This is ridiculous. Even if it's intelligent, it's just some weird kid.
Dr. ███: Keep trying. He's obviously intelligent. This interview is to find out if he's capable of speech or any form of communication.
Dr. ███████: You mean, this is to see if your newest subject is going to be entertaining or not.
Dr. ███: Just talk to the SCP!
[An hour passes and the subject does not say a word, or even make an audible sound. However, it acknowledged the questions and gave partial answers to some using body language.]
Dr. ███: Alright, you can leave, ████. This is only our first attempt, so be prepared for more nights like this.
Dr. ███████: I'll be sure to bring a pillow next time so I don't lose any more sleep.
Closing Statement: The first attempt at communicating with SCP-XXXX concluded with poor results. However, more attempts of a similar nature are planned for the future.
-Dr. ███
Addendum A-3:
Event XXXX-4
Account of event by Senior Researcher Dr. ███
During early testing of SCP-XXXX, experiments were conducted on how the anomaly would react to food deprivation. Approximately 24 hours and 30 minutes after its last feeding, the subject began clawing at the walls of the containment area. Within the next minute, a 1m x 1m hole had been absorbed from the wall next to the entrance point and regurgitated by SCP-XXXX. It then proceeded to [REDACTED]. By the time a medical team arrived, the two guards had died from excessive blood loss. Standard funerals were held for both guards.
The specimen then made its way to the food court located on Level █ of Site-██. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX knew where this area was or how to get to it (method presumed to be a greatly enhanced olfactory sense). SCP-XXXX was apprehended by a team of security officers using [REDACTED] and placed in a temporary containment cell while new containment measures were prepared. Dr. █████, a containment specialist, and Senior Researcher Dr. ███ began working on revisions to containment measures for SCP-XXXX immediately.
