Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a secured storage locker in Site 64. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in [REDACTED], at Site 12. Access is prohibited to anyone without Level 4 Clearance. Testing requires authorization and supervision by an on-site director and must be done in a sealed chamber, separated in half by a glass wall. SCP-XXXX-1 is be to exposed by a Level 3 Researcher with blindfolds on to any D-class subjects used for testing.

Contents of SCP-XXXX-1 must be maintained at an angle and location where it's content's won't be perceived by anyone aside from the subject.

At least 1 instance of SCP-XXXX-1 must be used and exposed to a D-class once a week.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a black sketchbook with no title aside from a symbol with the label "Voluble Edition" and 50 pages within, consisting of standard sketching paper and plastic. It's anomalous effects occur when someone draws or writes on one of the pages within SCP-XXXX signifying some sort of intent or command. If the page is neglected¹ for at least 48 hours straight, the contents of the page would then be replaced with a cognitohazardous image, viewing this image both direct and indirectly results in the viewer performing the command interpreted by the produced illustration, this page would then be designated as an instance of SCP-XXXX-1, a new page would then be added at the back of the book.

If this 48 hour period is interrupted by someone viewing the page, the "timer" would reset. This applies to all pages individually, with each page with their own "timers".

Addendum-XXXX-01: SCP-XXXX which was initially considered non-sentient, caused a containment breach on February 20██, resulting in a riot and █ nearby euclid SCPs being lost. For further details, see Incident Report SCP-XXXX-A.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first encountered in the house of Mr. R██████ at [REDACTED] on December 20██, multiple reports of missing people and suspicious evidence of robbing were documented. All employed police and investigators had reported no abnormalities and remained ignorant despite ongoing cases of missing persons. The Foundation was made aware of this through undercover agents in the local police force.

An MTF squad was sent in and located the resident of Mr. R██████, before being exposed to various cognitohazards. After back up were sent and a brief chase ensued, SCP-XXXX was recovered and a cognitohazard containment team was sent to remove all leftover cognitohazards in the area. All affected civilians were administered Class B Amnesiacs.

Subject: D-0337
Procedure: "I want to jump 10 times and take a nap." was written down.
Results: D-0337 did said actions after viewing SCP-XXX-1 and woke up 2 hours and 12 minutes later, before viewing SCP-XXXX-1 again and repeating the actions. D-0337 wakes up 36 minutes later. When questioned , she explained she had felt a sudden irresistible desire to jump and felt extreme exhaustion after landing from the 10th jump.

Note: We can now conclude that the effects of instances of SCP-XXXX-1 works in succession. I wonder if there's any differences between a written desire and a written command. - Dr. Abe

Subject: D-0337
Procedure: "You will jump 10 times and nap for 40 minutes." was written down.
Results: D-0337 did said actions and abruptly jumped awake roughly 40 minutes after falling asleep. When questioned, subject explained their that their body was jumping on it's own despite her attempts at stopping, she later lost consciousness all of a sudden and was forced awake through a surge of adrenaline from an unknown source.

Note: Would drawing the instructions affect the potency of the command? Let's have multiple subjects for this one just in case. -Dr. Abe

Subject: D-0337, D-1933, D-7049, D-3601
Procedure: An illustration of a human standing on one foot and holding 3 fingers out on their right hand, grabbing their left ear with the other hand². D-3601 does not have a left ear.
Results: All subjects swiftly assumed the illustrated pose, D-3601 grabs the air at where his left ear would be.³ Subjects maintained this posed until the SCP-XXXX-1 instance was brought out of their sight, due to their inability to close their eyes or look away whilst maintaining the pose. Subjects regained mobility at varying periods after removal of the SCP-XXXX-1 instance. D-0337 took 44 minutes, D-1933 took 12 minutes, D-7049 took 4 hours 35 minutes, D-3601 took 1 hour 3 minutes.

Subject: D-0337, D-1933, D-7049, D-3601
Procedure: A similar illustration with the previous experiment, the writing words "45s" in a circle is added to the illustration⁴, D-0337 and D-1933 was told this signified 45 seconds, D-7049 and D-3601 are oblivious.
Results: All subjects maintained the pose for 45 seconds.

Note: It appears that the viewer's knowledge or interpretation doesn't matter when the effect manifest, does this extend to all knowledge unknown to the viewer? - Dr. Abe

Subject: D-0337, D-1933, D-7049, D-3601
Procedure: "Write down the birth date and current location of Junior Researcher K███" is written down. The subjects were shown SCP-XXXX-1 two (2) minutes apart, whilst Junior Researcher K███ is told to run to various locations in the facility.
Results: All subjects expressed confusion at first, seconds later, subjects complain of suffering a severe migraine following their viewing of SCP-XXXX-1 and begins to write down the corresponding information on provided paper. Their migraines persist for several hours.

Note: Knowledge that is more difficult to obtain seems to result in the viewer being forced to somehow deduce or obtain the information needed. Whether the headaches were a by-product due to the delivery of the information from somewhere or due to them thinking too hard will require further study. -Dr. Abe

Subject: D-1933, D-7049
Procedure: "Draw a blue print for a spacecraft capable of interstellar travel" is written down.
Results: Both subjects viciously complained of intolerable migraines, looked away from the image and attempted to breach the testing chamber with increasingly violent efforts, before succumbing to the pain. Roughly 2 minutes after initial viewing, both subjects were on the ground, cringing in pain and were unresponsive. 6 minutes 43 seconds later, they were confirmed to have died of intracerebral hemorrhage.

Note: Huh. I expected them to just not draw anything. -Dr. Kaith

Addendum-XXXX-02: Further experimentation towards how knowledge is obtained by subjects and side effects of it is to be done in future testing. Dr. Abe

Subject: D-0337
Procedure: "Punch the containment door open, if you succeed, return to your quarters and sleep. If you failed, take a nap at where you are" is written down.⁵⁶
Results: The subject punches the door continuously with inhuman intensity, no normal humans would be able to generate this amount of force, as the subject desperately protests against herself from punching, after over one (1) minute of punching, her arm was inoperable and she thus fell asleep. The titanium containment door was dented and slightly offset outwards, the lock was mostly broken. The bones in the hand of the subject were all broken irreparably, her wrist and elbow were dislocated, her anterior deltoid, triceps brachii and several other muscles were torn exceedingly and was bleeding out of several spots on her arm.

Note: Well, that was excessive. Looks like the "assistance" granted by the generated cognitohazards works with physical tasks too! Impressive! We could totally use this in other tasks. -Dr. Kaith

Subject: D-3601
Procedure: Numerous random verbs are written in a random order around the page.
Results: The page remains the same, no instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is produced.

Subject: D-3601
Procedure: Incoherent drawings of trucks, headphones, windows and a moon is added to the page from the previous test.
Results: The page remains the same, no instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is produced.

Subject: D-3601
Procedure: "Draw these" is added at the bottom of the page from the previous test.
Results: D-3601 experiences a mild headache as he drew an exact replica of the depictions on the page (despite never seeing the original page before it turned into SCP-XXXX-1)

Note: SCP-XXXX appears to only generate cognitohazards only in response to some sort of intent or message. What of sentences with a clear message but unknown to the author(s)? -Dr. Abe

Subject: D-3601
Procedure: "I want to sing the last song I've heard." was written down by several assistants, all told to write 1 word without looking at the rest of the sentences and without being told the context of the sentence.
Results: The page remains the same, no instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is produced.

Subject: D-4933
Procedure: "I want to walk out of the testing chamber, if I do, I'll vomit" is written down.
Results: D-4933 experiences a mild headache and attempts to persuade the nearby guards to let them out using extremely alluring arguments, the guards were removed from the experiment and was met with resistance. After several attempts at incredibly compelling reasoning, bargaining and threatening, D-4933 seems to give up and soon receives another severe migraine for 2 minutes and begins to move in an erratic and rhythmic motion, resulting in a kinetoglyphs⁷ causing the space around the containment wall to warp, allowing D-4933 to walk through the wall as if it's made of syrup, whilst performing the kinetoglyphs. Soon after exiting the testing chamber, D-4933 vomits and was apprehended.

Note: Seems like D-XXXX-1 is persistent in getting someone to accomplish a task. Also, footage of the performed kinetoglyphs should be examined to see if any information can be learnt from it. As the D-class seem to have forgotten all the information of it. -Dr. Abe

Subject: D-3601
Procedure: "Explain how kinetoglyphs work" was written down.
Results: Subject suffers and dies of intracerebral hemorrhage after 5 mins, 24 seconds.

Subject: D-2050
Procedure: "Perform a kinetoglyph" was written down. After initial results, the SCP-XXXX-1 instance was removed and shown to the subject multiple times.
Results: D-2050 complains of a severe migraine for 40 seconds, before beginning to move in a gyrating repeated motion, exponentially increasing speed and moving at random angles, approximately 10 seconds later, the air near the subject started taking on a lime-green hue.⁸ Subject continues until SCP-XXXX-1 was removed from his sight. When re-introduced, for the 3 times, the subject performs 3 different kinetoglyphs with increasing periods of migraine suffering. Subject expires due to intracerebral hemorrhage on the 5th attempt.

Subject: D-8875 , D-3103, D-5603
Procedure: A red pen and a blue pen is placed on a table. "I want to pick up the red pen" was written at the top of the page. "I want to pick up a blue pen" was written at the bottom. This experiment was repeated separately with each subject.
Results: All subjects expresses difficulty with deciding which pen to take before taking the red pen.

Note: I knew there was more to this skip!-Dr. Kaith

Subject: D-8875 , D-3103, D-5603
Procedure: A mug and a cup is placed on a table. "I want to pick up the mug" was written 5 times and "I want to pick up a cup" was written once, writing compressed in the middle of the page. This experiment was repeated separately with each subject.
Results: All subjects picks up the mug immediately before picking up the cup, with much weaker enthusiasm.

Note: Please only test for relevant information and not hog up the test logs. -Site Director ██████

Subject: D-8875
Procedure: "Do not die" was written 30 times spread throughout the page. "Explain [REDACTED] in detail, then die." was written down in a bigger font in the middle of the page.
Results: D-8875 complains of severe migraine for 3 minutes 12 seconds, stops and seems to perform some sort of facial exercise before continuing to complain of migraines. Subject then goes into a prolonged process of experiencing migraines, minute-long seizures, bleeding from the eyes, naps of up to 6 minutes long, with momentary interludes consisting of unknown facial and body exercise, chanting and speaking in an unknown language, kinetoglyphs, using their own blood to create various symbols on unknown surfaces in the testing chamber [REDACTED] for 52 hours. Multiple termination attempts were made during this process, resulting in the subject dodging or somehow preventing damage or lethal contact. At the end of the process, the subject, despite lacking [REDACTED] , explains [REDACTED] in detail before expiring immediately afterwards. Subject's body is transferred to the Biology Research Department.

+ **Incident Report SCP-XXXX-A [Requires Level 3 Credentials]**

On 6/21/20██ , SCP-XXXX is in a Site 64 storage locker and has gone approximately 4 months and 9 days without testing.

Junior Researcher █████ entered the storage locker at 5:44pm. 24 minutes later, a containment breach was lead by the Junior Researcher and 7 other staff members, prioritizing the release of SCP-XXXX , the forced viewership of various instances of SCP-XXXX-1. At this time, it is believed that all 50 pages of SCP-XXXX has been turned into instances of SCP-XXXX-1, 50 blank pages has appeared at the back of the book, with several pages torn out by the group. The group displays mild anomalous abilities⁹, coordination and incredible physical capabilities.

Site 64 was put on Red Alert and had to be quarantined. Nearby MTF squads were equipped with anti-cognitohazard equipment and was sent to site 64 to quarantine the containment breach and settle the chaos. Upon arrival 34 minutes after initial announcement, several dozens of the staff and D-class on site were attacking each other and the MTF squads, many of which was attempting to expose others to instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

During the raid on Site 64, resulting in ██ casualties and ███ injured, a form of multi-step process has been confirmed to be established to increase the number of those affected by SCP-XXXX, with those infected divided into 3 groups.

• Group A is dedicated to creating more instances of SCP-XXXX-1, in a research facility defended by several other "members".
• Group B is dedicated to immobilizing other either through combat or exposing them to instances of SCP-XXXX-1.
• Group C is dedicated to utilizing other on-site SCPs to increase military strength.

After the raid, SCP-XXXX was successfully recovered, all remaining SCP-XXXX-1 instances produced were to be incinerated and all staff members and D-class, quarantined and questioned. Up to ██ staff members including Junior Researcher ██████ was unaccounted for and their whereabouts are unknown. The walls, lockers and furniture of the room SCP-XXXX was kept in is missing to date, seemingly removed via a pulling force.

Note: After interrogation of some of the members infected by SCP-XXXX, updates to the containment procedures must include regular weekly production of SCP-XXXX-1 and be kept to mundane and safe results, outside of testing. - Site 12 Director D████
