Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5563 is to be kept in research cell 204-A with at least two armed guards stationed at all times to prevent unauthorized personnel from entering. Entry is permitted for research purposes only, and Level 2 or higher access is required. If a researcher is to enter the research cell, they must be accompanied by one of the two stationed guards. If the escorting guard is to be killed during this event, the research cell is to be sealed for 24 hours with all researching personnel inside.

Description: SCP-5563 is a 15th-century bow discovered in Spain. The bow is made of flexible elmwood with a still intact hemp string. There are few visible signs of use, although the bow is not in good shape as it was found buried in rubble. When discovered, a single arrow (SCP-5563-A) was found tied to the bow using mores hemp string. The shaft of SCP-5563-A is made of firm pine wood with the head being made of human bone and the feathers being that of a turkey. The bow has engravings running along the side that when directly translated from Latin to state the following:
That in which the arrow pierces becomes a god.
Since discovering and translating this message, further testing has been done to discover the anomalous abilities of the bow and arrow. When shot with the SCP-5563-A using SCP-5563, the subject (SCP-5563-1) will become immune to all physical damage for exactly 24 hours. After the 24 hour period, the subject will return to the state in which they were previous to be shot. The subject must be shot by SCP-5563-A using SCP-5563 for the effects to take place. Any other bow or arrow will not give similar results.
Addendum-5563-A: Dr. ████ ordered D-4039 to shoot D-2038 with SCP-5563. The arrow pierced into the stomach of D-2038 who showed signs of pain for a few seconds and then seemed to be completely unaffected. The subject pulled out the arrow without leaving a wound. D-4039 was then given a .45 ACP pistol and ordered to shoot D-2038 once in the foot. The bullet deflected off the foot of D-2038 without leaving a wound. D-4039 was then ordered to take a combat knife and stab D-2038 in the forearm. The blade deflected off the subject's skin leaving no damage.
Addendum-5563-B: Dr. ███ ordered D-1049 to shoot D-2048 using SCP-5563 but also using a different arrow provided by the facility. The arrow pierced the subject's forearm, tearing the flesh. It was then taken out of the subject causing slightly dangerous amounts of blood loss. After no similar effects to Addendum-5563-A, D-2048 was admitted to medical care where she quickly recovered.
Addendum-5563-C: Dr. ████ ordered D-1049 to shoot D-4820 with a bow provided by the facility, while using SCP-5563-A. SCP-5563 entered the subject's forearm and showed very similar results to Addendum-5563-B. The subject was then admitted to medical care, making a quick recovery.
Incident-5563-A: Dr. ███ had D-4929 shoot D-████ with SCP-5563 using SCP-5563-A to further test the effects on the subject. After gaining immunity to physical damage, D-████ took SCP-5563-A out of his arm and proceeded to stab Dr. ███ in the side of his neck, quickly killing him. Lead Researcher ███████ ordered for the research cell doors to be shut and sealed to prevent 5531-1 from escaping the vicinity and leading to more casualties. The stationed guard Charlie-1-3 and D-4929 were killed by D-████ who was immediately terminated after the 24 hour period by orders of Lead Researcher ███████.
