Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be placed on a pedestal within a breakable glass container located inside the armoury at Site 29. SCP-XXXX will be available for usage by any field agent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in that role and only with a previous authorisation of at least 2 level 4 personnel.
SCP-XXXX must be cleaned on a monthly basis by D-class personnel and, following Incident-XXXX-Y, under the strict supervision of 3 security guards at all times.
Any testing on SCP-XXXX must be carried out within a testing environment with the following requirements:
- A 3 x 3 x 3 meters titanium-based room.
- The location of the room must be at the lowest possible level within Site 29. The floor of the room must lead to solid ground and walls must be covered in pipes filled with compressed water flowing constantly and uninterruptedly for the duration of the test.
- Video surveillance.
- A guard located in each corner of the room.
- A wheelchair ready to be used in case the test requires longer than 20 seconds.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an obsidian ritual knife with a 2 cm syringe-like protuberance located at the handle. When being held from anywhere save the handle, SCP-XXXX will not be able to affect any type of solid or liquid matter, including the hand of the handler, in spite of the strength applied to SCP-XXXX.
In this state, SCP-XXXX will be able to withstand any amount of weight or pressure without distortion to either itself or any surface SCP-XXXX is making contact with at that moment.
Tests involving paper, raw beef, human skin, gelatin and sand have returned negative results to either damage or displacement of the test materials.
When being handled by the handle and allowing the syringe-like protuberance to penetrate the skin of the test subject, SCP-XXXX will begin to absorb blood at a rate of 100 ml per second. After 20 seconds, the test subject will be approaching lethal levels of blood loss.
During this period of time, SCP-XXXX will be able to cut through any solid or liquid matter with the ease of "cutting butter with a hot knife" according to test subjects.
The following tests have been carried out while in a "blood-donating" state:
- Cutting through a raw lamb leg. Result: No resistance.
- Cutting through a 10 cm thick block of iron. Result: No resistance.
- Stabbing through a Kevlar vest being worn by D-class. Result: No resistance. D-class diseased.
- Cutting through a Toyota Yaris model ████. Result: No resistance. Test subject got cuts on the hand from scrapping through the car.
- Cutting through a molten metal container filled with molten iron and copper at a temperature of 1,800°c. Result: No resistance. Test subject cut through the container too quickly, causing the molten materials to spill over the floor, causing damage to the test subject feet.
In all the previous tests, any material still covering SCP-XXXX appears to slide off SCP-XXXX, regardless of the friction coefficient of the material.
No tests involving any other SCPs have been carried out at the time of writing, however, the usefulness in recovery missions has been confirmed and SCP-XXXX will be available to be used as an emergency tool by field agents.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was retrieved by field agents on the 28th of November, 20██ from the evidence room of the Chihuahuan police precinct, Mexico.
SCP-XXXX caught the interest of the Foundation after rumours of a "magic knife" that could "cut through anything" spread to field agents.
The evidence box in which SCP-XXXX was contained involved a case of robbery and hostage situation in a Banco Azteca bank located in Chihuahua.
Perpetrators of the crimes arrived to the bank at 1450 hours and began demanding money to the cashiers. Once the police forces arrived, the robbers demanded for all police officers to leave the premises, otherwise, hostages would begin to be killed.
After an hour of negotiation, witnesses report a robber taking out SCP-XXXX and cutting a hole through the wall of the bank, allowing them to exit the location without the police forces noticing.
The holder of the knife passed out during their escape due to blood loss and was arrested on the spot by the mexican police.
The foundation managed to get an interview with the prisoner after recovering of SCP-XXXX. Here is the audio log.
Agent Martínez: Mr. Rodriguez, could you tell us where you found SCP-XXXX?
Mr. Rodriguez: <After getting translated to spanish> Pss, me lo vendió una señora en el tianguis, decía que podía cortar todo lo que quisiera.
Translator: He says he found it in a flee market, an old woman sold it to him claiming it could cut through anything.
Agent Martínez: Why did you believe her it could cut through anything?
Mr. Rodriguez: Pus esque la señora corto un destornillador y una cacerola con el cuchillo, se vió bien chido y me lo llevé, solo me costó 300 varos.
Translator: He claims the old woman was able to cut through a screwdriver and a cooking pot with ease and he bought it for 300 pesos.
Agent Martínez: Ok then, anything else you could tell us regarding SCP-XXXX or the old lady?
Translator: Sorry, some of those expressions are too complex for me to translate, but from what I could understand he explains he got dizzy after using it for a while and that the old woman didn't seem to move her mouth while talking. Also, something about other things the old lady might have sold to some kids after they were leaving?
Agent Martinez: Other things? You mean other knives like SCP-XXXX? Tell me! What else did she sell?! To whom?!
Mr Rodriguez: Tranquis, no vi bien, pero vi algo como una lanza chiquita y una resortera como del mismo color de mi cuchillito. No se qué más había, pero los tenía guardados en un costal. Eran un chingo.
Translator: He saw a lance and a slingshot with the same colour as SCP-XXXX, there were also others inside a sack. He, [Translator seems agitated here] says there were a lot.
Agent Martinez: Jesus fucking Christ. Thank you for your time Mr. Rodriguez. We might need to talk to you again at some other time. Officers, please, take him.
