Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 and its respective parts are to be kept in a 5x5 meter room. SCP-XXXX-2 through -5 should be kept on padded platforms that allow easy access without needing to move any part. Under no circumstance are SCP-XXXX-2 through -5 to be moved, shifted, or altered without signed approval and unless by experts. Only personnel with level 2 or higher clearance may enter SCP-XXXX's room. SCP-XXXX-1 is allowed its stand, a desk, and two chairs for interviews. It may also request parts for itself or -2 through -5.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a collection of mechanical objects, all of which being potassium-argon dated to at least 0.7 billion years ago, the most prominent of which being SCP-XXXX-1, which is a highly damaged android that displays a cheery disposition. SCP-XXXX-1 is fairly humanoid but with the addition of a pair of auxiliary arms beneath the first. However, due to the extreme wear and tear brought on due to years of disuse, SCP-XXXX-1 is currently was a collection of body parts, consisting of four separate arms, two legs, and a head on a chassis. It is currently unknown how SCP-XXXX-1 came into such a state of disrepair, as whenever the question arises, SCP-XXXX-1 executes a reboot protocol (further explored in ). SCP-XXXX-1 is calculated as having around 5 petabytes of hard storage. SCP-XXXX-1 will respond to "Computer" or "███."
SCP-XXXX-1 was essentially a walking library, gathering information from anyone in the area and referring back to it when someone asks. Most of the information, however, has been deleted or destroyed. The remaining information describes bits and pieces about ancient and advanced civilizations but most notably points to a solar system-wide collapse around 200 million years ago. The technological level of the civilizations has been hypothesized as just above our own at a 1 on the Kardashev scale. Considering how close humanity is to reaching this point, it may be within our best interest to find out as much as possible about this collapse and how it occurred.
SCP-XXXX-2 through -5 are equipment and tools found in SCP-XXXX-1's possession:
- SCP-XXXX-2: A universal dictionary, containing 27 languages, 3 of which are of unknown origin and 17 of which are corrupted. Arabic, Latin, German, Russian, Mandarin, and Spanish are found in the dictionary. English was entered into SCP-XXXX-2 when Foundation personnel spoke to SCP-XXXX-1. When SCP-XXXX-1 was asked how these languages were acquired, it stated that "The languages were acquired through interaction with entities possessing said information." No further data on the sources have been uncovered as of ██/██/████.
- SCP-XXXX-3: A 2-meter rod made of unidentified metal. A Cloth has been wrapped at the 1.2-meter mark, implying this was used as a walking stick. A small electric lantern is attached to the top of the rod. When turned on, the lamp produces a 10,000 lumen light. Written on the bottom of the lantern is "Warning: For emergency purposes only." SCP-XXXX-3 May have been used as a beacon rather than a conventional light source.
- SCP-XXXX-4: SCP-XXXX-4 is a worn kevlar travel pack. Notably, inside the pack was a 2-liter canteen and SCP-XXXX-2 and -5. Other supplies include a sleeping roll, a small solar panel, a few metal cases filled with blocks of condensed food. Multiple unknown meat and plant species were identified in the cases.
- SCP-XXXX-5: SCP-XXXX-5 is a broken electronic device, which has been identified as a holographic display system, or "HDS." Based on information from SCP-XXXX-1, the system was able to display holograms as large as 1m3. Holographic images were in full color and mainly used for advertising or personal decoration. Attempts to repair the system have been unsuccessful.
Recovery Logs: SCP-XXXX was recovered in the middle of the Rub' Al Khali Desert under 17 meters of sand and sandstone in a large cave. Foundation personnel were informed of SCP-XXXX's existence by locals who spoke of "الرجل ذو الأربع أيدي", the Four-handed man. Field researchers were led to an open cave mouth with signs of fighting including heavily weathered scrapes and gashes as well as a few marks identified to be from a powerful ranged weapon. Inside the cave was the collection of SCP-XXXX as well as a few offerings consisting of bowls of coins and herbs, some of which dated back to at least 2,000 years.
SCP-XXXX-1 was found held up against a wall using wooden pegs. SCP-XXXX-1 was partially active and was able to respond to questioning. Below is a transcript following the discovery of the cavern.
Interviewee: SCP-XXXX-1
Interviewer: Researcher █
Foreword: Transcript taken from Researcher █'s chest-mounted radio.
<Begin Log, 13:52>
Researcher █: Oh cool, look at that!
SCP-XXXX-1: (In Arabic) Un-Unspecified language. Please con-con-continue to speak for speech-eech analysis.
Researcher █: Dr. Marcus, you took Arabic in high school, do you understand that?Off-Camera: Yeah, I think I got it. I don't think it knows English yet so-
SCP-XXXX-1: Language I-Identified: English. Continue sp-speaking-ing to further develop speech patterns-erns-erns.
Researcher █: Uh, that was fast.
SCP-XXXX-1 (Through heavy static) Uh, that was fast.
Off-Camera: Hey ████, I think he's mocking you!
SCP-XXXX-1 (Through heavy static) Hey ████, I think he's mock-mock-mocking you!
Researcher █: I guess he's giving you the same pleasure. Hey pal, you need anything while you're stuck on that wall?
SCP-XXXX-1 (Short pause) Patterns Id-identified. I'd like my-my-my pack please.
SCP-XXXX-1 turns to its left. Behind a small stalagmite rests SCP-XXXX-2 through -5. Researcher █ brings the pack to SCP-XXXX-1 and places it in front of him. Upon realizing it cannot reach the pack, SCP-XXXX-1 requested to be taken off of the wall.
<End Log, 14:02>
Closing Statement: SCP-XXXX's surroundings were studied to ensure the full safety of the items and personnel before removal.
Researcher █ attempted to remove the lower left arm from the wall, which caused the pinky finger to fall off and crack. Specialized archeologists were called in and successfully removed the entire body from the wall without further complications. Class C Amnestics were given to the locals and SCP-XXXX was sent to Site-15. Researcher █ will be reprimanded for carelessness.
