Item: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Prodecdures:
SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a standard 3 by 5 cubic meter room lined with 1.29 by 1.82 square meter mirrors. Due to the docile nature of SCP-XXXX, minimal security measures are required for successful containment. Constant surveillance of SCP-XXXX is required by at least two level 2 staff, and attention to the door of SCP-XXXX's containment chamber is of the utmost importance. Routine checks that the locking mechanism remains outside of SCP-XXXX'S containemt cell are paramount in avoiding containment breach. Physical contact with SCP-XXXX is considered extremely dangerous and is to be avoided at all costs.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a slightly overweight female of African-American origin. The entity stands approximately 1.74 meters in height. Its hair is generally left down, although it has been known to style itself from time to time. SCP-XXXX has not shown any negative responses to the elements and prefers to remain in a yellow sundress throughout all times of the year. The specimen speaks a variety of languages, though it has shown a preference for French and English. The specimen also exhibits a strong aversion to mirrors and other reflective surfaces such as glass, water and even the screens of powered down electronics.
SCP-XXXX can only be perceived as facing away from all who attempt to observe it, regardless of their position relative to SCP-XXXX or other observers. If more than one observer of SCP-XXXX is present at any given time, both parties will perceive the specimen from the same, rear facing angle, even if they are standing on two opposite ends of SCP-XXXX. When observed in front of or around reflective surfaces, the specimen will express mild discomfort and ask for the aforementioned object to be removed. Reflections of SCP-XXXX are still perceived from behind.
When asked about the front side of SCP-XXXX, the entity described itself in great detail, and noted having [REDACTED]. These noticeably effected certain faculty that gave too much thought into XXXX's description, and psychological evaluations were administraded upon request. SCP-XXXX expressed confusion when prevented with this information, stated that it "Thought [REDACTED] was normal".
SCP-XXXX posses the ability to influence other objects and pass on its characteristics to the hitherto SCP-XXXX-1. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can only be perceived from behind, much like their original counterpart. However, interaction with an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 have resulted in highly hazardous incidentss ranging from [REDACTED] to termination of the subject. Research has lead the Foundation to suspect this occurs because of a negative displacement of the object at an atomic level, which produces the anomalous effect upon contact with "normal" matter. These instances of SCP-XXXX-1, if sentient, retain any level of intelligence they posted prior to becoming an instance, and are not controlled by the original SCP-XXXX in any discernable way, save for SCP-XXXX's ability to return the instance to their original state at will. Instances are not limited by any known restrictions.
Discovery:
SCP-XXXX was discovered in [REDACTED], New Jersey after several witnesses reported seeing a woman matching the description of SCP-XXXX [REDACTED]. Local authorities were notified and the Foundation was subsequently contacted. SCP-XXXX willingly submitted to MTFs, though it repeatedly made requests to stop for food, all of which were denied.
Upon arrival at Site [REDACTED], the specimen was escorted to its quarters, were it complained of hunger consistent with that of an otherwise normal human being. It requested raw eggs and boiled sugar, which Foundation staff complied with. When brought a nutritionally sufficient meal, the specimen politely asked the providing staff to turn around as to not exposed XXXX's face. The staff member did not comply under the supervision of Doctor [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX sighed with mild annoyance before reaching backwards and taking the plate. It is noted that the SCP did not fish around the air for the item and took it from the staff member's hands without issue, as if it were about to see where the plate was held without looking at it. The specimen then brings the plate to its front and proceeds consumption.
Ademdem XXXX-1:
Two D-Class personelle were dispatched to SCP-XXXX's containment chamber and were prompted to engage SCP-XXXX. Subjects engaged in conversation with SCP-XXXX for approximently 10 minutes before the D-Class were instructed to establish physical contact with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX politely asked for them to stop to no avail. Shortly after physical contact was made, the D-Class were perceived from behind similar to SCP-XXXX. The D-Class both noted that they could now see the front of SCP-XXXX and were extremely disturbed. When asked to describe what they saw, one D-Class noted that it looked "Like a [EXPLICITIVE] [REDACTED]." and the other said something of similar effect. These statements appeared to distress SCP-XXXX to the point of tears, at which point the D-Class demanded to be set free. After several minutes of banging on the door, both D-Class were extinguished by unknown forces and subsequently returned to normal orientation. SCP-XXXX notes that they were "so mean", before resuming routine activities. Autopsy reports suggest something akin to [REDACTED] and severe shock were the cause of death in the D-Class.
