Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP - XXXX is to be kept in a safe-class containment chamber with dimensions of 30m x 30m x 4m. Individuals are not to enter SCP - XXXX’s chamber without level 3/XXXX clearance or higher. Cross-testing of other sapient entities with SCP-XXXX requires level 3/XXXX clearance.

Description: SCP - XXXX is a large stone with an approximate radius of 5m, with a composition identical to regular stone. When a living entity enters within 10m of SCP - XXXX, the entity spontaneously has an emotional outburst directed towards SCP - XXXX. These outbursts have ranged from overwhelmingly positive to rudeness, violence and [DATA EXPUNGED]. No outside factors have been identified to influence the type of reaction, and no patterns have been observed in the reactions provoked by SCP - XXXX. Removal negates the effects, however re-exposure to SCP - XXXX does not seem to change the affected entity’s reaction to the object.

Test A - 04/06/[XX]

Subject: Two Rattus Norvegicus
Results: Specimen A began to foam at the mouth, and attempted to gnaw at SCP - XXXX, to minimal success until removed. Specimen B approached the object and rubbed it’s fur against the object for several minutes, appearing calmed by the experience.
Analysis: Individuals of the same species can have different reactions to SCP - XXXX.

Test B - 15/06/[XX]

Subject: D-90456
Results: D-90456 vocalized immediate concern toward the object, and backed away from SCP - XXXX. After multiple pleas to be let out from the containment chamber and several minutes of sobbing, D-90456 was amnesticized and returned to her cell.
Analysis: SCP - XXXX can induce resultant emotions from the original effect, and the anomalous effect does not override resultant emotions.

Test C - 04/07/[XX]

Subject: SCP-1869
Results: SCP - 1869 was mildly pleased by the presence of SCP - XXXX, and vocalized this to foundation staff. Request to have visiting permissions to SCP - XXXX granted.
Analysis: See Assendum XXXX-1.

Addendum XXXX-1: It seems entities that are not normally affected by positive emotion are still vulnerable to SCP - XXXX’s effects. Putting in a request for more cross-testing, this could be promising for containment of violent SCPs.
