SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently contained in a locked toolbox at Site-73. No person should make use of or make contact with SCP-XXXX for any reason. In the event of a containment breach, site-wide searches must take place to recover SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a set of pliers approximately 15 cm in length with the brand ██████ written on the handle. When a person makes contact with SCP-XXXX they are immediately filled with regret and will begin to cry uncontrollably. After 2 hours, crying ceases and the person seems unaffected. After 8-24 hours after handling SCP-XXXX, the subject will attempt to commit suicide. If the subject's attempt is unsuccessful, they will begin to desperately end their own life.
Methods of suicide vary from subject to subject, with gunshot being the most common method. Death will always occur after handling SCP-XXXX.
Attempts were made to trace the origin of the ██████ company. When Researcher ██████ found the website regarding the company on Terminal #██, power was cut site-wide and an image with the caption "Tools are the key to the past" displayed on every monitor site-wide. April 17, 195█

Subject: Brodie Bolton
Location: ██████████, Pennsylvania
Description: Bolton was found dead from a gunshot wound. The entrance hole was located in the Muscular Palate and traversed through the subjects Nasal Cavity, entering the brain and impacting with the Temporal Lobe then spreading across the X-Plane of the subject's brain causing immediate death.
Conclusion: This event occurred before containment of SCP-XXXX, and was later found to caused by SCP-XXXX when it was found at Bolton residence. Upon searching the house, SCP-XXXX was found to be laying on his workbench and was confiscated by Officer Philips as evidence.

April 18, 195█

Subject: Officer Philips
Location: ███████████, Pennsylvania
Description: Officer Philips was found dead at his residence from a gunshot wound from his police-issued .45 Caliber P227 handgun. The entrance hole was located in the Bony Palate, traversed through his nasal cavity and entering the brain and impacting the frontal lobe causing death instantly.
Conclusion: The death of Officer Philips was announced to be a suicide. His death was marked as suspicious since he was mentally stable and has no suicidal ideation in the past.

July 29, 199█

Subject: Elisha Smyth
Location: ███, Utah
Description: Mrs. Smyth was found, by her husband, dead inside her residence from knife-inflicted wounds. She was found bleeding profusely from both arms and from her neck where there were large cuts. SCP-XXXX was found on the counter in her kitchen. 23 cuts were found on her right arm, with 2 being at least 1 cm deep. 17 cuts were found on her left arm, all of which were only a few millimeters deep. The cut in her neck was █████████████████████. A chef knife was found by her side covered in blood.
Description: Mrs. Smyth purchased SCP-XXXX from a public auction for $3.71. No direct contact was made until Mrs. Smyth returned home when she took it out of the bag it was in. The Foundation was notified when a undercover agent found SCP-XXXX was evidence. When he looked into the whereabouts of SCP-XXXX he found 2 other suicides where SCP-XXXX was involved.

Date: March 30, 200█
Location: Site 73
Incident: While attempting to gain information about the ██████ company, Researcher ██████ was taken to the company's web page. As he gained access to this, a sitewide power failure occurred. 30 seconds after the power failure, an image with the caption "Tools are the key to the past" appear on every monitor sitewide. Personnel who viewed this image had a urge to retrieve SCP-XXXX. When touched, personnel desperately used SCP-XXXX to [DATA REDACTED] and total loss of life was 56.

Addendum SCP-XXXX-1: Following Incident SCP-XXXX, the ██████ Company website is now classified as SCP-XXXX-1. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-1's effects, any research should be done at Remote Site ██ disconnected from any power grid and a minimum of 5 km away from SCP-XXXX. Attempts to remove the website have thus far met with failure.

In the case of the ██████ Company website becoming public, MTF agents are to be deployed to Site-73 and administer Class-B Amnesics to any person trying to enter Site-73. Disinformation campaigns will be put into effect if necessary.
