Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held within a Small LUCID-class steel container. Interaction with SCP-XXXX without sufficient protection from ontokinetic phenomena is strictly prohibited, unless approved by the standing Level 4 Senior Researcher assigned to it.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 120-sheet, 20cm x 15cm leather-bound notebook.

The object has displayed the ability to automatically alter reality in ways relating to certain excerpts within its contents. Every single excerpt has a variable amount of anomalous "triggers" in which phenomena can manifest, either activating after several pages, or multiple words within the same sentence activating individual activity. The triggers are only activated when read on the page itself, transcriptions of the excerpts do not carry the anomalous effect.

SCP-XXXX's pages are entirely filled with the personal excerpts and illustrations of a deceased Ollie Gein, a non-anomalous independent artist whom had admitted himself into his nearby hospital after his disappearance in the year 1998, returning in 2002. He would then disappear from his apartment, permanently, in 2005, with the apparent erasure of all records of his existence, though vague memories of him were left in those who interacted with him. In the interim of his disappearances, Gein was considered to have an extreme case of schizophrenia, experiencing hallucinations of the audiovisual, tactile, and olfactory, experiencing delusions of grandeur and exhibiting symptoms of a martyr complex, as well as severe distortions of the passage of time. Foundation field agents coincidentally placed within the hospital for events unrelated to SCP-XXXX and Gein reported sudden spikes of ontokinetic activity coinciding with Gein's delusional episodes, conferring a possibility of him being a reality bender.

Gein's possessions in his home were seized by Foundation personnel after reports of several people attempting to enter it, either landlords, burglars, squatters, or others were erased in the same manner of Gein, the Foundation being alerted to several detectable spikes in ontokinetic activity with the absolute epicenter being SCP-XXXX. Gein's apartment complex was demolished in it's entirety, and residents and family members of the erased were administered amnestics, with the cover-story of an unprecedented mold infestation requiring the relocation of residents to ensure their safety.

Gein's artwork, although displaying no anomalous attributes on their own, visually describe and act as key objects in the various phenomena which may be activated by the object, and as such, are kept within adjacent lockers and containers in the same chamber as SCP-XXXX, for the purposes of study and testing.
