Axial MRI of SCP-XXXX-3

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:
Each instance of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a separate high-security humanoid containment unit, surrounded by no less than half a meter of sound absorbing foam. Microphones are to be placed at each corner of the cell exterior, audio from which is to be logged and timestamped. Each containment unit is to be equipped with a two way wired telephone, calls from which can only be initiated from the outside. Only researchers with class G or above anti-cognitohazard precautions can initiate contact with an instance of SCP-XXXX.

Each instance of SCP-XXXX may make one written amenity request each month, which is to be completed by selecting possible options from a provided paper form. If an instance of SCP-XXXX verbally requests any specific amenity via the provided telephone, containment staff are to report the request and immediately seek amnestic administrations.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is a physio-cognitive condition currently believed to be isolated to three individuals originally from Redrock, Washington. While individuals afflicted with SCP-XXXX undergo no visible external changes, MRI scans reveal numerous smooth, cylindrical lesions in the Broca’s and Wernicke’s areas of the brain. These lesions seem to cause no cognitive impairment, and no evidence of surgery to the skull has been located in any instance of SCP-XXXX.

Any individual that hears a verbal command issued by an instance of SCP-XXXX feels an immediate and irresistible urge to fulfill that instance’s instructions. The affected individual will continue to pursue their instructions until given another order by SCP-XXXX, until they are told to cease their attempts by SCP-XXXX, or until they expire. Commands heard via digitally processed audio, such as voice recording or telephone, cause only mild compulsion, which can be abated with proper anti-cognitohazard precautions (see containment procedures).

Three living instances of SCP-XXXX remain, hereafter referred to as SCP-XXXX-1 (previously Bartholomew Watts), SCP-XXXX-2 (previously Daniel Traher), and SCP-XXXX-3 (previously Martin Soroco). The corpse of an additional instance, SCP-XXXX-4, has been recovered from Redrock and identified post mortem as one Todd Barker.
