SHRIMP

Item:SCP-5669

Object class:Keter

Special containment procedures: SCP-5669 must be kept in a 7x7x10 meter room with 30cm thick graphene walls and a current of 1.3MA passing through the walls. A three stage, airtight door must be closed at all times and can only be opened by O5-operators. The doors cannot be opened simultaneously and in each chamber, electromagnetic pulses are to be turned on to spook the creature if any attempts to escape are taken. Upon entry, scientists/studies must wear level 4 triple glazed titanium hazmat suits due to its radioactive corpse. The scientists must be accompanied with 5 elite soldiers with very powerful electromagnetic guns to spook the SCP if it attempts to escape. Before anyone and anything exits, all personnel, equipment and the exterior of any container must be cleansed by radioactive neurtalisers and blasted with electromagnetic pulses to kill any offspring the SCP might have left. Surveillance 24/7 is a must and pictures or documents of the creature must be terminated or/and burnt excluding hard copies commissioned by O5-operators. Any terminations that the SCP has committed are to be quickly covered from the public and falsify the death of the terminated subject.

Description: SCP-5669 is a 2.7m tall humanoid being that appears to have extremely long hands, which force it to mainly walk on all fours. Despite it weighing an average of 500kg, tests have shown that SCP-5669 reaches a maximum velocity of 20km/h in its neutral state. When aggravated, hungry or spooked, this creature can reach maximum speeds of 30-55km/h and is observed to run in a bipedalism state. SCP-5669’s appearance is similar to SCP-096, but larger, thinner and all white with no facial expressions. Tests have been taken and it is concluded that SCP-5669 is not related to SCP-096 apart from appearance. SCP-5669 is a non-carbon based life form, made out of radioactive materials and the specimen doesn’t seem to be sapient, however SCP-5669 is a learning creature that can quickly adapt to its environment.

SCP-5669 originates from the detonation of the thermonuclear bomb, code name, Castle Bravo in March 1st 1954. The bomb was originally called SHRIMP, hence the nickname of the SCP. It is hypothesised that the compression of Lithium and Deuterium in the detonation led to create SCP-5669 in the depths of the crater. However not enough physical evidence supports this theory. The specimen feeds on nuclear waste, often spotted in Radon and Uranium deposits and mines and sometimes in nuclear reactors such as the Chernobyl nuclear power plant which is proven to have caused the Chernobyl accident from video tapes excavated from the plant. SCP-5669’s way of spreading its offspring is to inject its offspring in a similar looking living host such as a human. The offspring will then grow via mitosis to create another SCP-5669. Hours after the injection of the offspring in the human body, the human will experience violent shakes in the abdomen area and in another 12 hours, the offspring will be developed and will leave the host via chest-bursting or back-bursting, killing the host in the process.

SCP-5669’s body contains radioactive materials, that are hazardous to its environment, giving off neutron radiation which is powerful but short lived, leaving nothing behind in a matter of minutes that makes tracking this SCP an almost impossible case. It is inspected that this creature is an invertebrate, moving via muscle movement. It is not very dense since it is made out of primarily lithium and deuterium (over 95% of it is lithium).

SCP-5669’s muscles have a very high tensile strength and expand-ability. Tests have shown that its can stretch itself into a hole with a diameter of only 20 micrometers. SCP-5669 can exert a punch with the force of 100,000N on a solitary object, scratching the walls while in its cell, hence the constant checks to evaluate the cell and repair any severe damages. This creature is normally passive until it detects a threat. SCP-5669 can use gamma rays to determine objects close and far from it, having a detection radius of about 23.16km with great precision. SCP-5669’s preferred way of attacking is either going in stealth where it keeps a low profile, circling the threat, closing distance with every turn and the SCP’s most dangerous attack manoeuvre, the joust/charge where it will either collide with the threat, dealing massive amounts of impact force or scratch the threat, broadside by turning its hands into a very thin, sword like way. The mortality rate, if confronting the SCP without special equipment like civilians and the local army, is a 100% guarantee with no traces of the threat after defeat exept blood stains and a very weak pulse of radiation.

Addendum: Catching any loose SCPs is top priority and any offsprings must be contained immediately. All tests that correlate to the SCP’s termination have all been unsuccessful however it is theorised that concentrated amounts of radiation neutralisers might harm and potentially exterminate SCP-5669. The SCP is currently being studied to see if the SCP is aware of its weaknesses. It is concluded that this SCP is unhostile unless threatened, hungry or would like to reproduce. If the SCP is met with another SCP, it will mostly be harmless unless there is any engagement. If the SCP is met with its own children/another SCP-5669, they will not attack each other but rather work as a team, making this SCP a massive threat if grouped up with three to four other SCPs.
