Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-1, it is impossible to properly contain. However, there are certain limitations to its abilities that can be used to partially contain it. If there is a way for it to escape, but it is difficult or time-consuming, such as being hazardous or dangerous, it will likely stay in containment. As such, it is important that there is a way of escaping the containment at all times, but that it be painful/dangerous. SCP-XXXX-1 must be contained in a small room with an closed door, but a narrow passageway, approx. 20 by 20cm, with various hazards such as rotating saws, pits, etc. The containment, along with the passageway, should be guarded by at least five personnel equipped with thermal goggles.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be an average sized, black house cat, approximately 50cm in length, not including its tail, which is 30cm long, which SCP-XXXX-1 curls up when not in use. SCP-XXXX is extremely fast and agile. SCP-XXXX-1's tail is prehensile, and SCP-XXXX-1 will freely use it when navigating environments. The tail conceals a venomous barb which SCP-XXXX-1 can extend out in order to defend itself, or to hunt.

SCP-XXXX-1 is capable of environmental camouflage, being able to become invisible to conventional sight, however items touching, coating, or embedded in SCP-XXXX-1 will still be visible. SCP-XXXX-1 has been observed engaging in basic hunting, and understanding technology, however it does not appear to be able to create or use tools. The venom (SCP-XXXX-2) in SCP-XXXX-1's tail barb causes victims to fall into a coma, frequently causing death. SCP-XXXX-2 can be milked from the stinger, however attempts to milk SCP-XXXX-2 have been banned after a failed attempt resulted in the death of personnel D-15938 and D-15939. SCP-XXXX-2 has also been found to contain Class-A and Class-E amnestics, causing sting victims to accept SCP-XXXX-1 as an ordinary cat, and forget its existence after contact is over. Due to the effects of SCP-XXXX-2, all personnel exposed are to be terminated, or reassigned if of high priority or importance.

SCP-XXXX-1 also has an unusual proficiency for escaping containment. It is unknown how SCP-XXXX-1 escapes containment, however, D-Class Personnel who witnessed such a containment breach have stated on record that SCP-XXXX-1 just "walked out," however logs of the containment cell have confirmed that the door was closed at the time. As such, it is theorized that SCP-XXXX-A is either capable of teleportation, or is a cognitohazard.

Incident Log:
Incident XXXX-1: SCP-XXXX-1 breached containment on 31/9/████ after a recently recruited D-Class [D-Class ] closed the door to the hazardous access route. SCP-XXXX-1 consequently breached containment and used its prehensile tail to evade facility guards. SCP-XXXX-1 was recaptured without incident.

Incident XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX-1 breached containment on 05/03/████ after an alarm was sounded, as it had previously never shown any capabilities of camouflage, due to it hiding with its natural camouflage.
NOTE: Guards are to be issued thermal goggles from now on.

Incident XXXX-3: SCP-XXXX-1 breached containment on 31/06/████ through termination of D-Class D-2648 and D-7451. After breach, SCP-XXXX killed multiple researchers and guards. SCP-XXXX was recontained by MTF Squad Tango-Alpha.

Interview with MTF Tango-Alpha personnel

Interviewed: MTF Tango-02 Lieutenant Jeremy ████

Interviewer: Psychoanalyst ████ ██████

<Begin Log, 15:30, 1/07/████>

Interviewer: What happened during SCP-XXXX's recontainment?

Lieutenant Jeremy ████: SCP-XXXX had killed ██ researchers and █ guards when we arrived. After entering Site ███, we found multiple guards unconscious. We called a medical squad to retrieve them, and continued into the facility, where we found…

Interviewer: Found what?

Lieutenant Jeremy ████: Bodies. Bodies everywhere. They all had pierces on their skin, so we assumed they had been killed by SCP-XXXX-1. We activated thermals and continued further down.

Interviewer:Then?

Lieutenant Jeremy ████:We saw traces on our thermals. Pawprints. We followed them until they started to fade. We didn't realise what SCP-XXXX had done until it was too late. It had walked backwards to throw us off the scent, all the while following behind. When it realised the trail had gone cold for us, it attacked. It killed 3 of my unit before we could open fire. When we did, it managed to kill 2 more, and 1 is still in a coma. We managed to injure it, but it appeared to heal after some shots. We eventually managed to knock it unconscious, we think from blood loss, and get it back into its containment unit.

Interviewer:Any other complications?

Lieutenant Jeremy ████:No, but…

Interviewer:Yes?

Lieutenant Jeremy ████:Ma'am, all due respect, but I want that thing dead. It killed 5 of my friends.

Interviewer:You know that won't happen. I'm sorry.
