Special Containment Procedures: Object SCP-4508 is to be kept in a 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm glass container, with glass no thinner than 5 cm. Bimonthly checks of cracks in the glass are to be carried out by no fewer than two (2) Class-D personnel. There is to be one (1) or more guards (armed or unarmed) stationed at any time. Under no circumstances should the guard enter the containment. The doors must be double locked at all times.
In the event of a breach of any other SCP in the facility, both doors are to be bolted shut until an MTF squadron has fully cleared the surrounding area.
Description: Contained at Site-██ as of 21st May 2019. The origin of the object is currently unknown. Object SCP-4508 appears to be a standard, flat pasteboard playing card. Roughly 5 cm x 9 cm in measurement, this card seems to be a "joker" card. An image of a standard male human with a red, yellow and black suit and medieval jester's "Fool's Hat" is imprinted on the front of the card. The back is blank.
The card is not animate. However, it can move around via another personnel's body. Any personnel that comes into contact with SCP-4508 will receive intemperate vibrations throughout the personnel's body. The seizures endured have been described to be almost exactly like hypnagogic jerks. Few tests have resulted in death from these seizures, though most result in the subject losing consciousness.
Between one (1) to three (3) hours after the seizures, the subject will retain consciousness. No after effects have been present in the tests performed.
