Yo welcome to my SCP drafts page! This is where I write my SCP articles.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The building containing SCP-XXXX has been acquired by the SCP Foundation and is currently sequestered from the public under the pretense of ongoing construction work. The sets of doors on the fifth and ground floors are to be guarded by four Foundation security personnel. Addendum XXXX-01: In the event that the doors of SCP-XXXX should open, its head researcher should be immediately notified and MTF Pi-1 ("City Slickers") dispatched to the area of containment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an elevator located inside an abandoned apartment complex in █████████, California. The anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX will only manifest when the elevator is used by a single individual entering the elevator from the fifth floor with the ground floor as their destination. This individual is designated SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties will also only manifest if SCP-XXXX-1 is using the elevator en route to a meeting or occasion of perceived importance to themselves. When SCP-XXXX is used while these conditions are met, the elevator will take such an amount of time in reaching the ground floor as to force the individual to be late for whatever important occasion they wish to attend. The effect of the anomaly has been determined to depend on the perceived importance of the meeting by SCP-XXXX-1. If the meeting is judged by the subject to be of greater than normal importance, the travel time will be extended by a greater than normal length, and vice versa.

Appendix A: Experiment Log

  • Test XXXX-01-195█: Class D personnel, D-XXXX-01, equipped with one stopwatch, instructed to proceed into SCP-XXXX from the fifth floor and press the button corresponding to the ground floor. Subject was told that if he could arrive at the bottom floor before thirty seconds had passed, he would be granted a one-day reprieve from testing SCP objects. Subject arrived after three days had passed and was escorted by security personnel to the medical wing of Site-██ after debriefing. The stopwatch given to D-XXXX-01 could not measure such lengths of time, but D-XXXX-01 estimated his travel time at around five days, suggesting that time inside SCP-XXXX passes at a rate faster than the rate of time passing outside the anomaly. It was noted by Foundation medical personnel that D-XXXX-01 displayed no negative effects that would be expected after not eating for five days. It is hypothesized that humans inside SCP-XXXX enter a primitive state of suspended animation in which they continue to age at an accelerated rate but cannot die as a result of such aging.
  • Test XXXX-02-195█: Class D personnel, D-XXXX-02, equipped with one digital clock, instructed to proceed into SCP-XXXX from the fifth floor and press the button corresponding to the ground floor. Subject was told that if she could arrive at the bottom floor before thirty seconds had passed, she would be granted the opportunity to exchange correspondence with her family. Subject emerged after five months and attacked Foundation personnel stationed outside SCP-XXXX. Subject was terminated by security and his body dissected by Foundation medical personnel, who found results suggesting that humans inside SCP-XXXX age approximately 170% faster than outside.
  • Test XXXX-03-195█: Class D personnel, D-XXXX-03, equipped with one digital clock, instructed to proceed into SCP-XXXX from the fifth floor and press the button corresponding to the ground floor. Subject was told that if she could arrive at the bottom floor before thirty seconds had passed, she would be granted the opportunity to speak face-to-face with a family member of her choice. Subject emerged after ████████ months and attacked Foundation personnel, inflicting two casualties. Any personnel involved in Incident XXXX-Alpha are encouraged to visit the on-site psychiatrist for psychological counseling. Testing on SCP-XXXX currently suspended pending Site Director approval.

Incident XXXX-Beta: During a containment breach at Site-██, one Class D personnel made an attempt to escape through SCP-XXXX. Based on security footage, after the subject entered the elevator, its doors closed and have not since opened or displayed any signs of anomalous activity. Current containment protocols instituted.
