Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a 1 x 1 x 1 m containment chamber under the constant supervision of a video recording device. Footage of SCP-XXXX should be directly saved to secure Foundation servers to be reviewed by Foundation Researchers at a later date. Level 1 security clearance is required to access the chamber. Light in the chamber should be synchronous with the day-night cycle of Site-76, where it is stored, as a courtesy to the inhabitants of SCP-XXXX. It is currently unknown whether the area outside of SCP-XXXX is observable from within. To date, no communication attempts have been made by the inhabitants of SCP-XXXX to Foundation Personnel.
The exact method of transference into SCP-XXXX is currently ambiguous, but any Mobile Task Force that experiences a sudden and complete disappearance of a team member is to immediately report the incident to Foundation Command before the observed memory-altering effects of SCP-XXXX begin to occur. Any Mobile Task Force member who's memory lapses mid-communication and cannot recall the reason for their report when in an area isolated from human civilization is assumed to have fallen victim to the aforementioned effects and footage of SCP-XXXX following the time of the incomplete report is to be reviewed in an attempt to confirm connection to SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a standard size snow globe with a red base. There are no markings or indications on the base and its origin is unknown. Upon discovery, the interior of SCP-XXXX exclusively consisted of a life-like forest. Upon delivery into Foundation custody, the interior included a crop field and three (3) crude houses, seemingly of human design. As of 09/05/2020, the interior of SCP-XXXX has developed into a small village of eight (8) houses surrounding a well, including a pathway that disappears into the forest surrounding the village. It is currently unknown whether the path continues beyond the edge of SCP-XXXX when viewed from inside. Shaking SCP-XXXX does yield snowfall from an indeterminate place within the glass which coats the landscape as normal snow before slowly evaporating, but the action's effect on the inhabitants of SCP-XXXX is unknown and generally abstained from.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX was first discovered on 12/09/2019 when a Level 1 Foundation staff member purchased it from ███████████, a restaurant gift shop in Vermont, USA as a gift. The staff member is quoted stating "[He] bought it because of the unbelievably realistic forest landscape…" When SCP-XXXX was unwrapped on 12/25/2019, the staff member was startled to observe the appearance of signs of human life and delivered SCP-XXXX into Foundation custody. SCP-XXXX was then transferred to and remains at Site-76 for observation.
