Item #: SCP-5117
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5117 and SCP-5117-1 are to be kept in a code-locked briefcase made of a high-tensile reinforced polymer, to ensure that lower class personnel cannot obtain SCP-5117 or SCP-5117-1. They are located at Site-64 (A low to medium security storage facility, located approximately 0.5 km below Forest Park, northwest of Portland, Oregon) and are kept in a 10 m by 5 m storage room, containing ██ other safe/euclid inanimate SCPs (each kept in an identical briefcase) under low security conditions, with daily surveillance checks. Each briefcase code is different and each code is changed weekly using a scramble algorithm. Only members with clearance level 3 or higher may access any of these briefcases and must be supervised by at least 1 member of security.
Description: SCP-5117 is what appears to be a whipped cream charger, it is a cylinder cartridge made of an incredibly strong, yet unknown metal, and is filled with an endless supply of nitrous oxide. The cylinder is about 6.3 cm (2.5 inches) long and 1.8 cm (0.7 inches) wide, and it is rounded at one end with a narrow tip at the other end. The charger's walls are about 2 mm (about 1/16 inch) thick to withstand the great pressure of the gas contained within.
Researchers are not sure what sure what the the charger is made out of, as SCP-5117 has the same atomic structure as steel, but holds massive amounts of condensed gas inside of it, leading active researchers to believe that it must be made of a much stronger substance. SCP-5117-1 was also discovered along-side SCP-5117, it appears to be a black cracker, however it is always room temperature, despite efforts to change this. eg. The experiment where [DATA EXPUNGED - SEE ADDENDUM 5117-2]. Experiments were also carried out to see if the charger held a finite amount of N2O, or whether the charger could produce an infinite amount [SEE ADDENDUM 5117-1]. SCP-5117 has been cracked ████ times, and still remains to look completely in-tact.

ADDENDUM 5117-1
Experiment held on ██/██/██ - Overseen by Dr. ██████ ██████
We placed SCP-5117 inside SCP-5117-1 and cracked the charger. The D-Class personnel using SCP-5117-1 felt no change in temperature, and therefore didn't have to let go of the front of the cracker [WILL BE EXPLORED MORE IN ADDENDUM 5117-2]. The balloon used on the end of SCP-5117-1 inflated as it usually would, and when taken off SCP-5117-1, we took out SCP-5117 to find that it was as if SCP-5117 hadn't been cracked in the first place as it looked sealed and unused. Researchers then cracked SCP-5117 three (3) times into one balloon, and SCP-5117 remained unscathed when removed from SCP-5117-1. It appears that SCP-5117 can be cracked an unlimited number of times.
ADDENDUM 5117-2
Experiment held on ██/██/██ - Overseen by Dr. ██████ ██████
We placed SCP-5117-1 inside an incinerator and increased the temperature to 100°C (373.15 K) - No change occurred in SCP-5117-1's physical properties (Remained as a solid, and remained at room temperature).
We then increased temperature to 500°C (773.15) - No change occurred in SCP-5117-1's physical properties (Remained as a solid, and remained at room temperature).
We placed SCP-5117-1 in a cryo-chamber and decreased temperature to -300°C (-26.85) -No change occurred in SCP-5117-1's physical properties (Remained as a solid, and remained at room temperature).
