SCP-####
Item #: SCP-####
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-####-A-(1-15) instances are currently contained in a storage locker in Biological Containment Site-66. Access is restricted to Level-3 Personnel and above. SCP-#### is not to be used for recreational or personal means. Any personnel violating this rule will be immediately reassigned to another project and, in extreme cases, could face termination.
Description: SCP-#### is a tree of unknown species. After fully maturing SCP-#### will produce a varying number of fruit designated as SCP-####-B. SCP-####-A is a collection of 15 objects appearing to be seeds of an unknown tree species designated as SCP-####-A-(1 -15). Each seed is completely unique regarding shape, color, and texture. Testing remains inconclusive as to what kind of material these seeds are made of, but it is presumed to exhibit lunar characteristics. SCP-#### was found in ████████ █████, Virginia on █████ 12, 2018. Upon placing SCP-#### into soil with adequate water and nutrients it will take exactly 24 hours to mature and begin producing its main anomalous effect. Upon reaching maturity, SCP-#### will start budding and producing fruit. These fruits, designated as SCP-####-B, are anomalous wherein anyone who consumes said fruit will gain the ability to materialize any item the subject desires via thought of the item. This effect lasts for an unknown amount of time approximately 4.5 hours. Due to the unknown effects of SCP-####-B, upon D-58678 consuming the fruit, he began creating numerous weapons and caused a containment breach (See Test Log: ███-A).
Test A - ████████
Subject: D-58678
Procedure: SCP-####-A-1 along with basic gardening equipment and instructions to grow SCP-####-A-1, inside of a standard testing chamber were given to D-58678, who had experience as a botanist prior to his incarceration and subsequent transfer to foundation custody.
Results: Subject gave SCP-####-A-1 proper care and was provided food to last while remaining in test chamber. 24 hours after subject initially planted SCP-####-A-1, it reached what was presumed as maturity as it began producing fruit. Subject consumes fruit and no ill side effects are observed. 30 minutes after subject consumes fruit, a presumably non-anomalous copy of the book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling materializes. Subject shows signs of distress and explains he was “just remembering that he needed to finish the book.” 47 minutes later, subject finishes book, immediately after finishing the book several firearms, ranging from high to low caliber, including but not limited to 1 (one) AR-15 fitted for .22 ammunition, 1 (one) Rocket Propelled Grenade launcher of unknown make/manufacturer, and several other small firearms. D-58678 proceeds to breach containment of the testing cell and attempts to escape the site, but seems to be unable to locate any exits to the facility. D-58678 is terminated via nerve gas in the entrance hall to the Heavy Containment Zone. Loss of life included █ Agents and ██ Support Staff. Large amounts of ammunition and firearms were located around the facility by clean up crews after the incident.
Analysis: We need an analysis here.
Test B - ████████
Subject: D-25683
Procedure: SCP-####-A-1 along with basic gardening equipment and instructions to grow SCP-####-A-1, inside of a standard testing chamber were given to D-25683.
Results: Senior Researcher ██████ entered testing chamber. Test ███-A cultivation procedures were followed to ensure proper growth of SCP-####. SCP-####-A-2 was placed in fertilized soil and given water every hour. 24 hours later, SCP-####-A-2 reached maturity and began producing fruit. Subject procures one fruit and consumes it. Subject is instructed to to create items every 5 minutes. Subject begins to create items as instructed until 4.5 hours later as the effect seems to have ceased.
Analysis: So we can materialize whatever we want for 4.5 hours after eating some mysterious fruit with no side effects? This could be a valuable asset. -Senior Researcher █████
Test C - ████████
This test was not authorized and as such Junior Researcher █████ is detained until further notice.
Subject: D-57921
Procedure:
0:00:00 D-57921 enters room with █████.
0:00:05 Junior Researcher █████ procures SCP-####-A-3 before transferring the item to D-57921
0:00:25 Door closes and Procedure-####-A is followed
0:00:55 Subject completes Procedure-####-A
(0:00:56-23:59:59 redacted for brevity)
24:00:00 SCP-#### is fully matured, begins producing SCP-####-B
24:03:13 One instance of SCP-####-B falls from SCP-####
24:04:25 Subject consumes SCP-####-B
25:43:21 Subject falls to the ground, a small figure of what appears to be SCP-914 materializes.
25:43:45 Junior Researcher █████ enters the room and takes the object.
25:44:12 Junior Researcher █████ puts pen in the object on very fine.
25:44:45 Junior Researcher █████ flies into a rage upon discovering that the object is just a replica with no anomalous properties.
25:45:54 Site Security arrives and detains Junior Researcher █████. Corpse of D-57921 is taken to medical bay before being confirmed deceased.
Analysis: Autopsy of subject’s corpse reveals that all organs became extremely shriveled and dry most likely due to an anomalous process. No further attempts to create anomalous items are to be made unless given approval by personnel of Level-4 clearance or above, with permission from the Ethics Committee.
