Special Containment Procedures:
Description: SCP-XXXX is a cognitohazardous infection originating on the ███████ video streaming service. From █/█/20██ to ██/██/20██, an apparent software bug caused the descriptions of programs to be switched - for example, an episode of Narcos, a drama concerning the rise and fall of drug lord Pablo Escobar, was erroneously described as an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, a cartoon about an animate dish sponge and his underwater escapades. As these "errors" were often humorously incongruous as in the example provided, screenshots were shared widely on social media, spreading the infection before the effects were apparent. Once the infection has taken hold, more programs on ███████ and then other streaming services will appear to the carrier as having misleading descriptions, first simply transposed with other programs and then entirely fabricated and often nonsensical. After ██ days of this escalation, the infected will lose the ability to describe all media accurately, by verbal, textual, and pictographic means. Friends and family are often confused and upset by this development, and infected persons are sometimes admitted to psychiatric wards; Foundation assets within the healthcare industry will remand these individuals to containment, as any attempt to write or draw an episode summary will result in a cognitohazardous artifact. In the final stages of infection, persons lose all ability to link descriptions and objects, causing prosopagnosia, synesthesia, chronic derealization, and ego death. Catatonia or complete psychosis soon follows in most patients.
On █/█/20██, a ███████ user contacted customer support regarding the so-called description bug.
