Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a solid acrylic glass cell with rounded edges. The entrance should be contained in the ceiling of the cell, and held shut with pressure locked latches. Winches can be attached to the containment ceiling for faster opening and closing of the cell. Containment latches can only be released after appropriate O5 testing authorization
Description:
SCP-XXXX resembles a skeletal human hand, made of a metallic substance, the digits of this hand are longer than average human finger bones. On the outer layer of the fingers are symbols of an unknown origin, a meaning has not yet been determined. Examination of the substance making up SCP-XXXX reveals an alloy made from gold, silver, copper, tin, bone from various species, and blood from various species. The symbols are able to be destroyed but the SCP will recreate the symbols on its surface when given the chance. SCP-XXXX is able to move freely despite lacking the mechanics required to allow such movements. When presented with something it considers a viable material, it will disassemble the object into base components and attempt to use these components in various ways. SCP-XXXX will generally use components in one of three ways sorted by the SCP’s own perceived priority. The first use is the most common, SCP-XXXX will use its components to build itself a body, hereby designated SCP-XXXX-01, often a rough approximation of a humanoid form, however it is not limited to this form and multiple other forms have been reported. It has also been observed replacing damaged or rotting components. The second use of components will occur when the SCP deems its form stable, it will build instances of SCP-XXXX-02, these are mechanical objects that show similar anomalous properties to SCP-XXXX, they appear to come to life and will search for objects SCP-XXXX can use for components, SCP-XXXX-02 don’t have a uniform shape and are often created in adaptation to the surroundings. If instances of SCP-XXXX-02 exceed a distance of ██ meters away from SCP-XXXX they will spontaneously deactivate and will not continue to show any anomalous properties even if reintroduced to SCP-XXXX. The third commonly observed use of components include the creation of anomalous “upgrades” to its form, usually these upgrades take on an aggressive form, including various cutting implements optimized for flesh and armor. When SCP-XXXX is made aware that others have acknowledged its upgrades it will enter a rage state and attack any living creatures nearby while attempting to escape the facility. All instances and incidents have been recorded in document (SCP-XXXX-testing-reports)
(Include reports of -2 forms and materials used)
(Include materials provided to SCP and how they were used)
(Include upgrades observed and materials used)
SCP-XXXX appears to have a form of sapience that was made apparent after the creation of a voice module to communicate with the nearby guards, it appears incredibly intelligent but does not appear to have a full grasp of the English language, Dr. [] suggests further investigation into the origins of SCP-XXXX
Addendum XXXX-01: The following interview occurred after SCP-XXXX used a cellphone to create an upgrade allowing it to convey human speech.
(Notes on the interview)
(Subsequent interview addendum and further notes)
Following the acknowledgment of the dangerous upgrades SCP-XXXX had added before the interviews SCP-XXXX entered a rage and attacked Dr. [] and proceeded to use their corpse to create instances of SCP-XXXX-02 who attacked the guards, allowing SCP-XXXX to attempt a containment breach, further detailed in (document)
(Containment breach)
After the events of the recent containment breach the surviving researchers overseeing SCP-XXXX submitted a request for SCP-XXXX to be reclassified as keter, request was subsequently denied because of ease of re-containment and the potential for termination if necessary.
