Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept inside of a small, plastic container inside the fridge of the mess hall of Site-██. A label is to be placed in either the top or side of the container to dismay personnel from eating SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a carrot of average size and shape. Upon closer inspection, a carving is found near the top of the SCP, depicting a heart with initials “M.R.” and “H.T.” connected with a plus sign on the inside. Carvings appear to be made with a knife. When SCP-XXXX isn’t contained inside of an airtight container, the SCP will seem to disappear from its current location and reappear in the nearest location that will cause significant harm to itself.

Examples include when Marine Director Pond was cutting vegetables in break room A at Site-██. SCP-XXXX appeared under his blade. SCP was not harmed as it was noticed by Pond before damage could be done. Examples also include near to all times meals were being prepared during containment of SCP-XXXX, all ended with the return of SCP-XXXX without incident, which resulted in many complaints by kitchen staff.

SCP-XXXX was discovered inside of the pantry of a restaurant located in New Jersey after a woman, name H█████ T█████ had reported being followed by SCP-XXXX, though she had referred to it as a practical joke by her partner, name M███ R████████, whom she had ended her relationship with the week before. Any attempts at finding said partner have been unsuccessful. Though many other vegetables were discovered at his place of residence. As well as an unloaded shotgun, apparently shot from an upward angle toward the space above his bed, as revealed by many bullet and shrapnel holes in the drywall. Many unmarked books were found, containing many details about rituals involving vegetables. One of the said books was found open to a page describing a rite to entrance or hypnotize a person. Books were taken into staff custody and placed under investigation.
