Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard holding cell at Site-15, furnished with an office desk, a small USB microphone and a lamp. SCP-XXXX’s containment cell is only to be powered when Site personnel are conducting relevant testing. Under no circumstances should SCP-XXXX’s containment cell have access to an internet connection, this includes proximity access to any wireless media devices such as smartphones.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an artificially intelligent construct housed inside of a Dell Inspiron 15 1700 Laptop Computer. The 1TB hybrid drive inside of the laptop contains only the necessary Operating System files to function and one folder under the Programs directory titled ██████. SCP-XXXX is located inside of this directory and, as of current testing, appears unable to interact outside of said directory. Due to the nature of its existence it is speculated that SCP-XXXX is an accidental creation rather than the result of an intended design. SCP-XXXX refers to itself by the name “Jessica” and prefers to be referred to as such. SCP-XXXX is currently unaware of its anomalous nature and its containment and is to be kept this way until further notice.

SCP-XXXX is capable of learning, processing and understanding information at a rate that surpasses the modern understanding of machine learning and inductive logic. SCP-XXXX has also been noted to form cognitive patterns and complex understandings of human speech, communication and thought processes. It has adopted what could be likened to a “human personality”, however said personality seems to draw heavily from the coded directory it was formed in. SCP-XXXX’s base programming is based off of a Japanese Dating Simulator titled “驚き?!あなたのために私の心が揺れる !” (Surprise?! My heart flutters for you!)

Due to long periods of inactivity between itself and Site personnel SCP-XXXX appears to have made a handful of crude attempts at cloning itself within its base programming (See Document Log XXXX-14-B). These constructs, henceforth referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 and SCP-XXXX-3 respectively, were capable of limited communication but only with SCP-XXXX. Attempts by Site personnel to communicate with instances of SCP-XXXX were met with a series of lines that appear to originate from SCP-XXXX’s base programming, however said lines are seemingly without context. During initial testing Site personnel noted that SCP-XXXX’s instances seemingly disappeared without warning. When questioned, SCP-XXXX stated that it terminated them in between testing (See Document Log XXXX-14-D.)

Addendum XXXX-12-A

Dr. Singletary had been attempting to make contact with SCP-XXXX for several days with no success until first contact was established.

Dr. Singletary: Damnit, I don't understand what we're doing wrong, the folks downstairs swore there was something in this thi-

SCP-XXXX: Hello? Is someone there? I-I think I can hear you but I can't see anything…

Dr. Singletary: Yes hello! My name is Kazuma, who am I speaking to?

SCP-XXXX: Kazuma? Like, from class?

Dr. Singletary: The very same. Could you tell me your name? I can't see you either but I hear you loud and clear.

SCP-XXXX: I- My name's Jessica, I'm from class 2-A. Didn't you sit like two rows down from me?

Dr. Singletary: That's correct, I'm flattered that you remember me. So tell me Jessica, do you know where you are? Or why we can't see each other?

Dr. Singletary verifies that the on-board web camera is deactivated while waiting for a response from SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX: The last thing I remember was going home and falling asleep after class, next thing I knew I woke up here in the dark and I could hear a soft voice talking or mumbling something. I guess that was you, huh? Do you know where we are, Kazuma? This is kinda freaking me out right now..
