Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A is restrained by high carbon steel chains in Site-98. SCP-XXXX-B is restrained in the same manner at Site-62. Access to either anomalous instance requires prior permission from one (1) Level 2 Researcher. Each use and the materials or personnel transported must be recorded at both sites. SCP-XXXX-B may only be unrestrained for experimentation with permission from two (2) observing Level 3 Senior Researchers. Any attempt to damage an instance of SCP-XXXX may only be made with prior permission from one (1) Level 4 Site Director and permission from one (1) observing Level 3 Senior Researcher.
Any Class-D personnel sent through SCP-XXXX-A to SCP-XXXX-B's new location are to be equipped with a GPS tracker, functional spacesuit, and a tether to Site-98 so that SCP-XXXX-B may be more easily retrieved.
Description: Both instances of SCP-XXXX are wooden doors measuring 2.5 meters by 1 meter by 5 centimeters. Each anomaly is affixed with a standard brass knob. The edges of SCP-XXXX-A and -B are slightly worn. Each object has an identical spirograph carved into the center of the door. The carving on SCP-XXXX-A is a dark green in color. The carving on SCP-XXXX-B is a light purple in color. The objects float free standing exactly 5 centimeters from the closet ground underneath them. Both objects can be moved and rotated with minimal force, but will remain floating unless acted upon by a force exceeding 4,000 newtons. Any attempt to damage SCP-XXXX-A or -B has resulted in [REDACTED].
Turning the knob of one door will cause it to become fixed in place on one of its edges. No hinges exist on either object but the object will pivot on one edge in a similar manner to an average door as soon as the knob is turned. When either anomaly is opened from the outside the other will disappear from its current location and appear in a seemingly random location. The extent of the objects' range was proven to be at least able to reach the moon, detailed in Experiment Log XXXX-43 (XXXX-EL-43). It is unknown what happens if the doors are brought outside of this possible range. Both anomalies open outwards. The space in the air that the anomaly opened from becomes a pitch black rectangle measuring 2.5 meters by 1 meter. Stepping through the opening transports one to a form of “pocket dimension” labeled SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 appears to be a hallway measuring 2.5 meters by 1 meter by 5 meters. At each end of the “hallway” stands one of the anomalous doors. The floor of SCP-XXXX-1 consists of plain white square tiles. The walls are made of an unknown material that absorbs over 99% of visible light. The interior of SCP-XXXX-1 is always 66.7℉. If anything remains in SCP-XXXX-1 when both SCP-XXXX-A and -B are closed it is [REDACTED].
Opening SCP-XXXX-A or -B from within SCP-XXXX-1 causes the instance of the object outside of the anomalous location to fix in place in an identical manner to opening it from the outside. If the anomaly was restrained it will open in the same place but if left unrestrained it will fix in place at the new location it appeared at.
SCP-XXXX was discovered by the foundation when one John ███████, a man from the streets of █████████, Florida, entered Site-██ after SCP-XXXX-A appeared there. John ███████'s use of the objects are detailed in Interview Log XXXX-1 (XXXX-INT-1).
Addendum 01: Both SCP-XXXX-A and -B react strongly to steel with high carbon content. It holds them in a fixed location when the other object of the pair is opened. Discovered after numerous tests by Dr. A█████ on what kind of materials cause the doors to stay in place. Since 03/██/20██ the primary use of the doors is research and transportation between Site-98 and Site-62.
Addendum 02: Extended time spent in SCP-XXXX-1 makes humans defiant to authority. Multiple uses of the anomaly does not appear to have any affect. The effect has only been observed on those who stayed in SCP-XXXX-1 for lengths of time longer than an hour.
