SCP 5000
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: Due to the immense acreage of SCP 5000, all entities contained within are to be monitored to prevent massive barrier breach. Currently, SCP 5000-2 is of majority concern and is dealt with accordingly. SCP 5000-2 is contained within a forest ranging 579 miles round perimeter. Forest is to be kept intact to keep SCP 5000-2 from becoming agitated. Foundation Forest Rangers are deployed on a tri-weekly basis to ensure the maintenance of the forest. (Should there be any issues please report to watchtowers Alpha, Iowa and Pine). No outside facility staff are to set foot on the grounds, exceptions including foundation Forest Rangers and the ranger tower surveillance staff.
Shifts are to change between the ranger tower surveillance staff every sixteen hours to prevent any long term effects inflicted by SCP 5000. Changing shifts requires class A amnestic and a psychiatric examination. Live animals are to be released into the forest twice daily and are not permitted beyond the perimeter of the forest, if any organisms attempt to leave the forest foundation Forest Rangers are to be deployed. Organisms released into the forest are regarded as SCP 5000 -1. Any instances of SCP 5000-1 remains after 10 hours within the forest are to be removed. All living organisms must be between the beginning to adolescent stages of life and in excellent physical health. Most animals fed to SCP 5000-2 include Bears, Elk, mackerel, tilapia and lobster. Noted that SCP 5000-2 is omnivorous, the diet consists additionally of rosemary, peace lily, blueberry, corn, chia seeds, avocado and garlic. As of date, no current containment methods have been finalized in regards to SCP 5000-2. However, project [REDACTED] has been set in place to survey the perimeter of the forest in regards to possible escape attempts.
Description: SCP 5000 consists of three separate entities titled SCP 5000 through SCP 5000-2.
SCP 5000 is located in Taiga Siberia with a perimeter of 800 kilometers. Physically, the anomaly resembles a forest with varying species of orchids, milkweed and what seems to be several fields of foxtail ferns growing within SCP 5000. Research has shown that all vegetation excluding instances of SCP 5000-1, to be growing indefinitely with no end to the rooting of the plant-life (See Addendum 5000-A). Three visible roads crafted from gravel, sand and dirt lead into SCP 5000. Testing reveals the three roads and the perimeter of the forest to be under constant state of moisture or damage indicating that SCP 5000 retains any atmospheric disturbance that may pass through, (wind, rain, fire, etc.). This hypothesis is under investigation however, due to the remaining acreage of SCP 5000 to be undisturbed, retaining it's form yearly. SCP 5000's anomalous properties become apparent upon entering the forest via one of the three paths. All three paths lead to the same phenomenon and Blue Wing Effect occurrences, event.
Note: Individuals whose entitled religion consists of Buddhism or Christianity are unaffected by any anomalous properties caused by either road taken. Research is continued on this matter, but is believed to be caused by the ancient context and history surrounding these two religions and their supposed connections to SCP 5000-2. This may connect somehow to the ancient symbolism found on the body of SCP 5000-2.
Upon entering SCP 5000 through the northern face with humid status conditions, individuals will develop primitive, animalistic behavior corresponding to their respected ancestry DNA approximately twenty minutes into their descent. All results have shown that further exposure to SCP 5000 will begin to physically transform individuals to modern day animals. This process has been labeled, The Blue Wing Effect. Once a BWE has begun, those affected will begin to tear at their body and others to quickly assist in the transformation. This process will last between thirty minutes to twenty hours, all documented results have been successful at replicating animalistic models of current species and portray the same vocalization, behavior and response of the species. Results include many early primates consisting of Notharctids and Purgatories, and an unidentified marsupial species.
Incident SCp-5000-2-A
March/18/19
SCP 5000-1 consists of meals (both vegetation and live animals) released or grown within SCP 5000. SCP 5000-1 instances are immediately affected by the surrounding forests anomalous properties. All instances of SCP 5000-1 upon entering SCP 5000 are classified as mentally deceased and are incapable of basic response functions. This suggests that the entirety of the forest is under unknown phenomenon that causes mental deterioration within living tissue. As all meals have ceased function after 3 days of entrance. It is still under investigation whether SCP 5000-2 is the source of this effect.
SCP-5000-2 is a nude anthropomorphized female humanoid entity of unknown descent. The physical appearance of SCP 5000-2 consists of several animal species anatomically connected to the main figure and unknown hieroglyphic carvings painted on a variety of limbs (most notable on forearms and chest). SCP 5000-2 stands 78”, weighs 81kg and has a current wingspan of 42”. SCP 5000-2’s DNA comprises 5% class reptilia, 65% Mammalia, 10% phylum chilopoda and 20% phylum Aves (Further DNA testing indicates that while SCP 5000-2 is primarily mammalian, the entity has the ability to lay eggs). Over the span of SCP 5000-2’s containment, more distinct physical features have grown as the entity matures. This includes wings, sharpened teeth, bioluminescence (it is unclear whether the entity uses this as communication), vocalization and human hormone development (this has led to 112 amount of casualties and 80 unsuccessful births from SCP 5000-2). SCP 5000-2 is capable of creating storms ranging between categories one and two. The storms do not cause any structural damage to SCP 5000. These storms are noted to mimic the current behavior of SCP 5000-2, this phenomenon however is still undergoing research because it is believed that SCP 5000-2 can not interpret human emotions. Contact with SCP 5000-2 is near impossible due to weather conditions becoming unstable and SCP 5000-1 instances guarding the entity from a distance at all times. While terminating all instances proves effective, this action causes SCP 5000-2 to act erratically and destroy all biological matter in the vicinity via storm damage and stored radiation. It is worth noting that all vegetation during this outrage will grow back within approximately 2 hours.
Discovery: SCP 5000-2 initially started as folklore from the locals of Murmansk Russia in 03/18/1880 after two hikers discovered SCP 5000-2 in the wild. After the stories of a female entity breached the town of Murmansk the foundation stepped in and confirmed the existence of SCP 5000-2 securing the perimeter of SCP 5000. Since the entity's discovery, no new anomalous behavior has been noted. Although it is unclear what SCP 5000-2's capabilities will become when fully matured.
