A photo of SCP-XXXX.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is kept in a 5x5x5 square foot room with a bed. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard site locker. Personnel requesting testing with SCP-XXXX are to obtain level 3 permission or higher and a note of who is being tested for safety purposes.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a stuffed animal dog. SCP-XXXX's fur is black in color with white markings on its chest and feet. SCP-XXXX has a star shaped tag on it with no indications of a company, date of origin, or location of origin; only the word "Sleepy." SCP-XXXX significantly improves the sleep habits of those within the same room of it; a room being defined as any area closed off by a door. SCP-XXXX has improved sleep habits from simply faster falling asleep to greatly impacting entire sleep schedules. Any humanoid being who has slept with SCP-XXXX has claimed that they feel "rejuvenated" after only one night of rest.

Addendum 1: SCP-XXXX bypasses all sleep impairing effects; SCP-XXXX appears unable to stop the bodies natural forced wake up response. SCP-XXXX appears to have a fondness over researchers who have knowledge of the human brain, specifically the hypothalamus. Some researchers advice caution, as it is still unknown if SCP-XXXX has cognitive function.

Addendum 2: SCP-XXXX has been confirmed to have no cognitive function. SCP-XXXX appears to absorb information depending on its surrounding; after being with a brain surgeon for just 12 minutes, SCP-XXXX's effects appears to have doubled in efficiency. After said interaction subject's fall asleep at a far faster rate then previously aforementioned.

Reclassified as Euclid.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered on January 7th, 20██. SCP-XXXX was located inside a little girl's bedroom. The SCP Foundation sent foundation agents to SCP-XXXX's location, after reports from a moving company of a family moving and only leaving a single item behind. SCP-XXXX was laying on the floor where a visible line on the carpet was; the line measured the same as a standard twin sized bed.

Time: 11:07 AM | Date: ██████ SCP-XXXX was placed in the arms of a subject with a coma. (Coma duration: 7 months.) After 34 minutes of prolonged contact, subject re-awoke from their coma. SCP-XXXX Produced a letter from its mouth, the letter contained the name of the sender, and a date:

Dear son,
We don't know when this letter may reach you, you've been in a coma for months. We wrote this letter on the 12th of January, ████. We don't know when you might wake up. We allowed some researchers to attempt to help you out of the coma. We hope we are there when you wake up. This letter is to tell you where we are once you wake up. I love you, son.

Test 23- ████

Subject: 19-year-old male, stays up late playing video games, wakes up at 11:07am consistently.

Procedure: Subject was placed inside SCP-XXXX's containment cell at 8:45 pm.

Results: Subject reported feeling a tiredness and after 15 minutes after being placed within SCP-XXXX's containment cell, fell asleep with SCP-XXXX in their arms.

Analysis: SCP-XXXX's anomalous abilities differ from person to person. Scientists at Site-██ report that subject got the healthiest amount of sleep since 2006.

Test 54 - ████

Subject: 37-year-old female, with insomnia.

Procedure: Subject was placed in SCP-XXXX's containment cell at 5:00 pm.

Results: Subject was using SCP-XXXX as a toy to pass time. Two minutes later SCP-XXXX produced pills - later found to be insomnia pills, out of its mouth. The pill bottle had the label "take me." Subject consumed the pills after reading the label. At 8:00 pm subject fell asleep for 9 hours and 30 minutes. Once the subject woke up they reported feeling heavy; once subject was removed from SCP-XXXX's containment, subject's report of heaviness was no longer there.

Analysis: Some researchers at Site-██ are requesting reclassification to Euclid, site has not accepted any tests regarding sleep deprived subjects since. SCP-XXXX containment reassigned to a standard site locker.

Test 724 - ████

Subject: D-34372, 27-year-old male, being stalked by SCP-9661

Note: Foundation site director has allowed permission for this test to commence.

Procedure: Subject placed inside SCP-XXXX's containment cell after days of lack of sleep.

Results: Subject fell asleep in 1 minute and 34 seconds after entering the testing chamber. SCP-966 was observed standing in the corner of the chamber. Foundation staff removed subject from the testing chamber - still asleep after 7 hours of being at rest. SCP-966 was escorted back into proper containment. Subject claimed to be able to sleep again.

Analysis: SCP-966 lost interest in subject after subject had contact with SCP-XXXX. Foundation staff are to report to SCP-XXXX in case of feelings of restlessness after taking any other precautions.

Note: Foundation staff are once again allowed to preform tests on SCP-XXXX with sleep deprived patients.
