Description: SCP-XXXX is a thaumaturgic mechanism that has been constructed beneath the Kasta Tumulus, a burial site in Amphipolis, Greece. It is currently believed that SCP-XXXX was responsible for initiating Incident 102021-XXXX and the subsequent manifestation of PoI-XXXX-Δ.

The main apparatus of SCP-XXXX is a 2 meter-tall artificial reality sink comprised of rare earth metals and computational equipment originating from the 1980's. Wire of a bismuth alloy has been wrapped around the entirety of the structure and connects it to the other mechanisms in the chamber containing SCP-XXXX. Namely, these components include:

  • Four large pistons that are placed equidistant from each other around the circumference of the chamber. Each piston demonstrates a recent displacement of incredible energy into the surrounding rock, suggesting that they were responsible for the geologic disturbance during Incident #102021-XXXX.
  • Several antiquated computational machines capable of rapidly processing local temporal data. A non-anomalous cassette tape containing 10 recordings of 99 Luftballons by the German music group Nena was discovered inserted into one of the machines. Germanic occultist runes of indeterminate purpose have been drawn across the tape in black permanent marker.
  • An instance of Solanum tuberosum L. that has been converted into a battery. Despite outputting only 1.2 volts, it is believed to be the sole power source for SCP-XXXX.

The chamber containing SCP-XXXX is accessible via a ladder located at the terminal wall of the Kasta Tomb. Inert thaumaturgic runes on a metal panel covering the ladder indicate that it was previously camouflaged, explaining its absence in civilian surveys of the site.

At 12:22 EEST on October 6th, 2021, Foundation Early Warning Observer TANTAN reported decreasing Hume stability within the region of Amphipolis, Greece. Mobile Task Force Ψ-2217 ("Arrows of Odysseus") was immediately dispatched in accordance with reality-altering event response protocols.
