Special Containment Procedures: The area enclosing SCP-XXX has been designated as Site-XX in order to discourage civilian trespassing and maintain the Veil.

SCP-XXX is to have at least five active Type-III Weather Anchors implemented around its perimeter at all times to sustain a continuously cold environment. Temperature within SCP-XXX is to remain below 263.15K to prevent any SCP-XXX-1 from leaching into groundwater supplies. Site-XX has been established at the previous entrance into SCP-XXX to facilitate cloud seeding with non-anomalous water. Clouds are to be seeded to facilitate precipitation from all clouds that pass above SCP-XXX to prevent any evaporated SCP-XXX-1 from escaping the containment zone.

Individuals designated as SCP-XXX-2 may make requests for supplies related to human needs, pleasures, or comforts. Requests are to be reviewed by the head researcher assigned to SCP-XXX.

Description: SCP-XXX is the designation for the port of Fort Ross located in Nunavut, Canada. SCP-XXX-1 is the designation for the precipitation unique to the SCP-XXX. SCP-XXX-2 is the designation for the residents of SCP-XXX.

On December 25th, 2018, SCP-XXX began cooling rapidly and precipitating at a rate of 4mm/hr. Despite the slow rate of precipitation, over a meter of precipitate was recorded to have piled on the ground within 70 minutes. A nearby Foundation operative witnessed the formation of the anomalous weather pattern and reported the event to Foundation command.

SCP-XXX-1 is beige in color and smells sickeningly sweet. Interventions from SCP-XXX-2 instances have prevented all attempts of collecting samples of SCP-XXX-1, so the properties of SCP-XXX-1 are currently unknown. However, observations of SCP-XXX-2 instances have led Foundation staff to believe that SCP-XXX-1 is anomalous in nature (See Observation Log below).

+ Observation Log: 

On January 8th, 2019, a crowd of SCP-XXX-2 emerges from the local church and gathers in a circle in the street outside. The pastor (designated as POI-XXX-1) preaches for 43 minutes before scooping a handful of SCP-XXX-1 off of the ground and pulling a knife out from behind their back. POI-XXX-1 then slits their wrist while continuing to preach. After 4 minutes of continuous bleeding, POI-XXX-1 takes a large bite of SCP-XXX-1. Bleeding stops 4 seconds after ingestion of SCP-XXX-1. Congregation follows POI-XXX-1 back into church.

On February 26th, 2019, the congregation of SCP-XXX-2 emerges from church and walks towards town square. POI-XXX-1 is carrying a large bucket and a shovel and is followed by two large worshipers dragging a large wooden cross. Upon reaching town square, POI-XXX-1 begins shoveling SCP-XXX-1 into the bucket. After 20 minutes, POI-XXX-1 lowers the wooden cross into the hole and begins to preach to congregation. Throughout the sermon, individuals pass the bucket of SCP-XXX-1 around, each taking a handful of SCP-XXX-1 and ingesting it. This ritual has been conducted at irregular intervals by different individuals following this initial event.

SCP-XXX-2 instances are the residents of SCP-XXX that lived in the town prior to the events of December 25th, 2018. SCP-XXX-2 instances have shown hostility towards Foundation staff and have displayed an unwillingness to allow staff into SCP-XXX. Negotiations with SCP-XXX-2 leadership have been fruitful in convincing SCP-XXX-2 instances to cooperate with special containment procedures as long as Foundation staff stay outside of the anomaly's perimeter and do not interfere with SCP-XXX-2 actions.

All members of SCP-XXX-2 belong to the local church congregation and exhibit actions typical of anomaly-based cults.

On July 23rd, 2019, all members of SCP-XXX-2 were seen entering SCP-XXX's business sector and never returned. On August 15th, 2019, a drone capable of measuring thermal energy was flown over SCP-XXX to determine the location of all SCP-XXX-2 instances. Drone footage indicated the presence of all SCP-XXX-2 instances located in a large building on 3rd street. On September 1st, 2019, a second drone was flown over SCP-XXX. Thermal imagery showed an exact match to the location of each SCP-XXX-2 captured by the first drone, leading Foundation researchers to believe that SCP-XXX-2 has become neutralized. An expedition has been planned for December 10th, 2019, to determine the cause of the new behavior within SCP-XXX.

0630 - 15km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 enters containment zone of SCP-XXX.

0730 - 12km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 records various phrases scrawled in red and green paint on residential homes. Phrases seen include "The eternal winter", "Cold forever", and various excerpts from multiple religious texts.

0830 - 7km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 enters SCP-XXX's business sector and records various collapsed buildings painted with more religious phrases referencing weather and cold. Many windows have been completely blown in and interiors are filled with SCP-XXX-1.

0900 - 3km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 turns onto the street of SCP-XXX's center. The street is lined with a grid of crosses 2.1m tall and 1m wide, separated from each other by 3m on each side. A majority of the crosses have sunken into the SCP-XXX-1 or have fallen over. On each cross a name is written along with a cause of death and the words "Saved by the eternal winter". Many names are repeated on multiple crosses.

0943 - 0.05km from center of SCP-XXX: At the center of SCP-XXX, MTF personnel discover a 24m tall mass of SCP-XXX-1 centered on the previous location of a Manna Charitable Foundation soup kitchen. SCP-XXX-1 within the building has been excavated using various shovels and tools piled outside, while SCP-XXX-1 atop the building has been left untouched.

0946 - 0km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 enters the Manna Charitable Foundation soup kitchen and activates headlamps. The interior of the soup kitchen is lined with intricate candle sconces along each wall that have been haphazardly nailed into place. Flashlights have been fitted into the candle holsters of each sconce. The dining hall has been filled with wooden pews with the cushions and upholstery removed. Pews have been set to face towards the direction of an altar located directly in front of the entrance to the kitchen. Hundreds of SCP-XXX-2 instances are seated in the pews rendered completely motionless. SCP-XXX-2 instances' veins are a purple hue and exposed skin is blue in tint, symptomatic of severe frostbite. SCP-XXX-2 instances' skin exhibits gangrenous black and green coloration and smells necrotic. MTF Epsilon-6 Rogers points a camera towards the face of an SCP-XXX-2 instance and raises the eyelid of the SCP-XXX-2's right eye. Eye is bloodshot and pupil dilates from Rogers' headlamp. The rapidity of eye movements on display indicate severe pain and distress.

1005 - 0km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 proceeds towards the kitchen at the front of the room. Altar at the entrance to the kitchen is draped with a beige table cloth and a golden candelabra has been placed in the altar's center. None of the candles placed into the candelabra appear to have ever been lit. Based on the rusted placard located on the underside of the candelabra, it is to be assumed that the contents of the room were moved from the local church.

Interior walls of the kitchen are plastered with pages ripped from a plethora of religious texts with passages highlighted that connect to anything related to low temperatures or weather. Texts range from pages ripped from bibles of different languages to childrens' books about Noah's arc. Spines of many religious texts are piled in disorganized heaps along the base of each wall. A deep freezer has been relocated into the center of the room and appears to have been repurposed into a writing desk. A set of new sermons featuring "the healing cold" and "the eternal winter" are scattered across the freezer's lid.

1012 - 0km from center of SCP-XXX: MTF Epsilon-6 Agent Grimes opens the deep freezer lid and pulls out a small pink tub. Lettering on the tub has been rendered illegible due to over-handling by SCP-XXX-2 instances. MTF Epsilon-6 is ordered to bag the located tub and any documents that were placed onto the freezer and return to Site-13 for further analysis.

Any volume of SCP-XXX-1 brought outside of the containment zone of SCP-XXX is to be set as an alpha priority re-containment effort by the closest Foundation site.

Samples of SCP-XXX-1 are to be stored in standard non-anomalous freezers at Site-XX, with canisters of liquid nitrogen available in case of catastrophic power loss. Freezers housing SCP-XXX-1 instances are to be monitored rigorously to ensure that the internal temperature remains below 263.15 kelvin at all times.

SCP-XXX-1 is the designation for any sample of "Fountain of Youth Vanilla" ice cream produced by Ambrose Restaurants International. The back of the carton containing SCP-XXX-1 includes information typical of standard vanilla ice cream with an additional note below the nutritional value that reads "All dairy was sourced from free-range cattle hydrated by the fountain of youth". Researchers in charge of SCP-006 have identified that logs show no recordings of cattle within 10km since initial containment.

SCP-XXX-1 is composed of a high content of saturated fats, sugars, and cholesterol. Frozen samples of SCP-XXX-1 experience no loss in mass upon liquefaction and ingested samples are proven to be able to heal all wounds, cure all ailments, and are theorized to prolong lifespan (Although no proof of this has been gathered due to the anomaly's recent discovery). How mass is replaced by SCP-XXX-1 is currently unknown. Effects on the human body that are the result of ingesting SCP-XXX-1 are unaffected by this healing property.

SCP-XXX-2 is the designation for the 54 prior residents of SCP-XXX. SCP-XXX-2 instances are completely immobile and have been placed into medically induced comas since containment. All instances of SCP-XXX-2 have had their hearts completely clogged by cholesterol from ingesting SCP-XXX-1, blocking all blood flow and oxygen circulation. All attempts at terminating SCP-XXX-2 instances have been unsuccessful.

An exploration of SCP-XXX was conducted on December 10th, 2019 to determine the cause of the new behaviors observed within SCP-XXX. MTF Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") were able to recover the first known sample of SCP-XXX-1 and place it into containment at Site-13. Along with this sample, agents were able to recover two documents that explain the events on December 25th, 2018 that led to the anomalous properties of SCP-XXX.

Psalm 14 says the "Fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling His word!" These we now know to be true.

It was an act of God that delivers unto us the gift of everlasting life! Those who lost their lives in the soup kitchen shall never be forgotten, this poor benighted community has been saved by their sacrifice. If not for the power outage during the December storm, the gift from god would have stayed hidden. And if not for the deliverance of the healing desert, young ms. Dunn would have been lost to us two months ago.

It has been said that God works in mysterious ways. But my brothers and sisters, I say to you, there is nothing mysterious about his actions here in Fort Ross. God has chosen us! He has bestowed upon this town His grace and we shall live forever in His Light!
