Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a locked storage container in Site-19. SCP-XXXX does not require constant monitoring, but it must be guarded by at least one personnel at all times to prevent unauthorized interactions or theft. Any testing to be conducted on SCP-XXXX must be approved by two (2) Level 3 clearance personnel.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a section of a tree-trunk measuring roughly four (4) meters in length and with an average circumference of two (2) meters. The tree from which SCP-XXXX originated was left badly charred and broken in half when struck by lightning in ███████, Scotland. Any branches attached to SCP-XXXX were removed prior to its recovery by the Foundation. Despite having no roots or access to water, SCP-XXXX does not show any signs of decay or rot.
When touched by any human with an injury or ailment, ranging from minor to severe, SCP-XXXX will store some memory of the ailment of the human who touched it and transmit said ailment to the next human to touch SCP-XXXX, immediately curing the first human. Testing on non-human subjects has so far proven ineffective, with no transmission of injuries or ailments.
SCP-XXXX was initially recovered from a small neighborhood in ███████, Scotland in April of 20██ after lightning broke it in half. No thunderstorm was reported at the time of the incidence. SCP-XXXX was first removed from the residential area by ███████ Fire and Rescue Service. The incident was reported by local news outlets, bringing it to the attention of Agent K███, who was in Scotland for unrelated reasons. Agent K███ requested access to the trunk due to the unlikelihood of a lone lightning strike, which ███████ Fire and Rescue Service granted. Agent K███ brought SCP-XXXX to the Foundation's attention, who had it transported to Site-19 for further investigation.
