Item #: SCP-5038
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: NOBODY is permitted to enter the solid steel room with no windows and only a camera hidden behind a mirror, as so SCP-5038 does not morph into the camera. If any personnel acquired the proper clearance to enter, they must strip ALL of their belongings at the door and must carry a water gun, SCP-5038 reacts negatively with the water as it returns to its original spot if wet and remains inert until it dries. If they do not follow the procedures they will be met with great reprimand.
SCP-5038 if deprived of nourishment for longer than a month it will go very dark in color, SCP-5038 will turn into a humanoid being with no features other than two (2) arms and two (2) legs, and only a single mouth with no teeth. SCP-5038-2 moves with inhuman speed and uses inhuman strength to hunt whoever it spots first, water no longer has an effect, it feeds from one human and moves back into its containment. The reason for SCP-5038-2 moving back to it's containment is unknown. Every other month, a D class is thrown in the room and is fed on until they are almost dead and are moved to the medical ward to recover, as to not repeat the SCP-5038-2 event.
Description: SCP-5038 appeared to be a ring that was the property to the family [Redacted] as a heirloom for many years of the [Redacted] family. The members of the family lived relatively short lives, only thrity (30) to forty (40) years. Upon further study of the eldest member of the family, James [Redacted], a thrityseven (37) year old male. His test results came back with no signs of disease or illness, however his appearance was that equal to a eightyfive (85) year old male. The subject Mr. [Redacted] was then stripped of all of his items and clothing, each was tested and incinerated Mr. [Redacted] was then given some memory altering drugs, given a set of clothes and an exact replica of the ring and was sent back home.
The incinerator was then cleaned the day after; Upon cleaning, one of the cleaners found a ring from the incinerator, instead of reporting it she proceeded to keep the ring. The following month of having the ring on her person she began to feel weak and looked older than she had before, she was then entered into a containment unit and studied.
After a few days of study the doctors found a ring she had not wore before her illness, the ring, SCP-5038, was then removed and placed into a steel safe and locked for further study. Slowly her health began to return and she was question with extreme force on when, where and how she got the ring. She told her story and was punished appropriately shortly thereafter.
Research team Delta was assigned to study the ring in question. With extreme caution they unlocked and opened the safe, SCP-5038, only to find the ring had seemingly vanished, the research sector was then locked down until it was found once again. They soon had searched the room, where it was originally kept, only to find the safe was gone. The room was then locked and studied, with one D class subject inside.
After a few hours of watch there was a black smoke like substance in the air moving toward the D class, while the subject seemed not to be aware of the smoke. The smoke went inside the watch, the ring was gone and SCP-5038 was now the watch. After another month of study, the D class slowly became older until they died and the watch returned to its ring form once again.
Test Results SCP-5038: After many days of testing SCP-5038 seemed immune to any and all forms of attack, as SCP-5038 would morph into the weapon before it was struck. However upon pouring unaltered H2o on the ring, it began to vibrate rapidly and emitted a high pitch screech then stopped. A cup of water and a watch was placed by a personnel who was stripped of all items SCP-5038 might become. Upon further watch, SCP-5038 was not moving in any way, then after the water dried it morphed into the watch rather than the cup.
UPDATE: DUE TO SCP-5038 BEING MORE DANGEROUS THAN WE FIRST THOUGHT THE CLASS OF SCP-5038 AS BEEN UPGRADED TO KETER EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. - PROF. PEGG, C CLASS. 5/8/20
