Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently stored in Storage Room 8 of Site-██. Access to SCP-XXXX for experimentation requires Level-2 clearance. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 must be analyzed in search of infohazards or cognitohazards to avoid incidents. Works that do not contain confidential or dangerous information in the site's main library with their access being available to site personnel for recreational purposes.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a 6 column red wooden bookcase. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties begin when any physical1 or digital information carriers2 is stored within itself and a time frame of no more than 7 hours passes a copy of the media will manifest within the same column, copy that is hereby referred as SCP-XXXX-1. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 Seems to replicate certain aspects of format, writing style and author with the only exception being that it instead depicts a continuation of the narrative or information depicted in and though instances of SCP-XXXX-1 can also be used recursively doing so will result in the proceeding narratives to become increasingly deviating of the original source material. Should SCP-XXXX be used multiple times with the same source material the results will differ most of the time, causing the repetition of previous instances of SCP-XXXX-1 very unlikely.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered on █ ███ 20██ by a Foundation web-crawler on www.██████.███, on a post called "I found these books in my house the other day" detailing how the poster later identified as █████ █████ a journalist and known book collector found several unidentified books on the bookcase of his house located in [DATA EXPUNGED]. The Foundation was capable of confiscating SCP-XXXX and removing the post but was not deemed a security risk due to its relatively quick time of removal.
