SCP-XXXX-1

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Under no circumstances are any unauthorized personnel allowed to walk within 30 meters in diameter of SCP-XXXX-1. If any personnel were to walk within 30 meters of SCP-XXXX-1 without proper treatment, they are to be terminated immediately due to the potential of a containment breach. SCP-XXXX-1 is to be contained in the center of a 50 by 50 m containment room made from reinforced steel, the room is to undergo maintenance every 2-3 months to prevent excessive corrosion. Any authorized personnel that wish to go into close proximity with SCP-XXXX-1 must have consumed canned goods within 12 hours prior of access.

Description: SCP-XXXX consists of two separate entities. SCP-XXXX-1 is a potted bonsai tree
(Adenium obesum) that does not require sunlight, water or any other basic necessities any household plant would actually need. SCP-XXXX-1 is around 60 cm in height and has stayed that way since containment. SCP-XXXX-1 also contains a pulse similar to that of a human heartbeat.
Scanning's show that SCP-XXXX-1 does not contain any vital organ that could cause such action. SCP-XXXX-2 is the name for the connected consciousness of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 is able to possess any biological entity that is within 30 m of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-2 is also extremely intelligent and is capable of analyzing the memories of those it possesses, this allows communication between SCP-XXXX-2 and site personnel. SCP-XXXX-2 can be subdued if it possesses an entity which had recently consumed a form of artificial food, such as canned goods. Once SCP-XXXX-2 has controlled an entity, the entity cannot be released unless SCP-XXXX-2 has either released it willingly or the entity in question has been terminated. Force feeding artificial food after SCP-XXXX-2 has possessed an entity to see if it will be released is still ongoing.

Addendum: SCP-XXXX-1 was first discovered in a wooden cabin at coordinates ████. A hiker who was in close proximity of SCP-XXXX-1 had claimed that "the tree was giving me a goddamn headache." Further interview shows that he had consumed 1 can of peas prior to finding SCP-XXXX-1, which was why SCP-XXXX-2 had not possessed the hiker at the time. Further investigation of the cabin showed multiple carvings on the wall. The carvings appeared to be words of some sort although the language had not yet been identified. A notebook was also found in the cabin with most of the pages torn up. The notebook itself is being kept at site ██ with most of the pages transcribed. (See document XXXX-NB [WIP]).
