Exploration Log XXXX-III
The documents, field logs, and other small objects gathered over the course of the expedition, now labeled XXXX-6, were deemed far too valuable to lose and MTF Xi-9 "Tasmanian Devils" were recommissioned with a recovery mission.
MTF Xi-9 entered the apartment once more, this time the hallways, corridors, and stairways moved about the empty space, because of this the rope that was originally attached to D-373270 was being tugged along with their shifting patterns. Deeming it an emergency, MTF Xi-9 followed the rope before it could permanently lose the direction of XXXX-6. After several hours of misdirection and back tracking the MTF came across a stairway that floated away and the rope was dangling off of the side of a hallway.
The MTF found another set of stairs and made their way upwards only to find that the corridor they were going to was floating off. Deciding it to be an impossible mission, they headed back only to find the hallway they came from floating off as well. Being stuck on the floating stairway they were told by mission control to stay put until they were connected to another piece of the landscape.
While moving back up the staircase Xi-9 Williams had stepped on one of the stairs wrong and his personal gravity was rearranged so that where MTF Xi-9 were walking up the staircase he was walking down it.
Xi-9 (Williams): Oh no bro, what the hell.
Xi-9 (Casey): What the fuck is wrong with ya? C'mon man.
Xi-9 (Bishop): Well this complicates things.
Xi-9 (Williams): I feel so disoriented. My head hurts.
MTF Xi-9 Williams continued down the staircase whereas everyone else was moving upwards.
The MTF ran down seven flights of stairs and found themselves in a long hallway that narrowed to a corridor that narrowed further still to the master control room. After walking for several minutes a mechanical roaring could be heard and a broken XXXX-3 swooped down and landed in between the MTF and the corridor. Once again half the men ran back up the stairs for a height advantage where as the bottom half of the men were regulated to dodging any attacks.
After several minutes of back and forth, a MTF member threw a grenade at XXXX-3 who looked up and shot its left hand at the grenade. Once they collided, the grenade began to fall down over head of the other Xi-9 members. The men below were informed and many ducked or ran to corners as the grenade exploded mid air and shrapnel hit everyone below. XXXX-3 took advantage of their confusion and grabbed a crew member with its left hand and crushed a young Xi-9 member. Two MTF soldiers charged at XXXX-3 and fired at the joints on the robot; where one got close enough to lodge a grenade within its chest cavity, the other troop pried open the hands of the robot which was now trying to remove the explosive. Once the hands were opened, all of the Xi-9 crew ran for cover and XXXX-3 exploded.
Once they gathered up, the MTF proceeded down the hallway only to be met with human corpses that rose out of the ground. Taking caution the team aimed their weapons but didn't fire at the corpses now collectively known as XXXX-7. After a back and forth discussion between the two most experienced members on the team, it was decided to kill the reanimated corpses before there was too much of them to handle. As the reanimated corpses were being fired at, one of the younger members noticed that XXXX-3 was recreated even after its destruction.
SCP-XXXX: Please, leave me be. I don't want anymore disturbances.
Xi-9 (Bishop): We don't have a choice kid. We were told to bring back essential documents and test subjects so we can better understand you. It's for everyone's best interest if you allow us access to them.
SCP-XXXX: How am I supposed to trust you? My father trusted men and they robbed him, my mother trusted men and they stole her innocence, my friend trusted men and they destroyed him. How am I supposed to trust you?
MTF Xi-9 Leader Bishop ran up to the door of XXXX-5 and was receiving cover fire from two other members. Five of them were dealing with XXXX-3 and the rest were dealing with the growing crowd of XXXX-7.
Xi-9 (Bishop): Murder isn't going to undo what has happened to you or your loved ones. Neither is anger or suffering or loathing or anything. You need to accept what has happened to them and move on. I've heard that some people don't change, whereas others believe that change is a necessary factor of life, but I believe that change isn't what's most important in someone, it's the ability to commit yourself to doing what is right. I get that you are still young and don't understand life, hell, many adults are just as clueless even after decades of living. Life isn't about knowing how to deal with every possible situation, its about doing what is right. So please, call of your horde and we'll talk this out.
XXXX-3 and XXXX-7 had both stopped what actions they were doing and melted into the floor. The bedroom door opened up and the corridor widened. The MTF entered XXXX-5 and examined the room, the control panel light up and XXXX-2 began talking to one of the older MTF crew men.
While the discussion was being had, Xi-9 (Bishop) asked XXXX-2 if it could let D-373270 go. After consideration and a back and forth discussion, it was decided that the d-class was not valuable to SCP-XXXX and D-373270 was taken out of the vat of blue liquid and was taken into Xi-9 custody. A sample of the blue liquid, now known as substance 7619-93-2, had been taken and is still under review. MTF Xi-9 along with D-373270 left without further incident. The SCP brought them to the apartment door and D-373270 was brought into custody where he was given immediate emergency care. MTF Xi-9 "Tasmanian Devils" was disbanded after arrival and debriefing.
